Wow tweeze, so much fun you did it twice!

Last week I fertilized the yard. It is amazing how much grass can grow with fertilizer.

There's another that has a 92" wingspan........that there is a lot of lift........I think it could manage a camera and a few missiles......the neighbors are gonna hate this....though probably not any worse than the miniature black powder cannon incidents.....

Exciting thunderstorms are moving through the city. The power has gone off for brief periods several times. Less than a minute each time there have been baseball size hail in the state. So far not around here :)

I am glad I got the yard mowed earlier today.

I changed out a lightbulb on the wife's Acura tonight. That car has got to be the most difficult car on which to work. I had to take off the front wheel and peel back the inner fender liner from below, while also removing the battery and air intake snorkel from above. It would have been a little easier had I been able to remove the airbox as well, but two of the four screws holding it together had seized. But, job done, $170 later.

I've got one threatening to go on the jag.....basically the same procedure......not looking forward to it.....

So much fun today! Met a ton of people! Awesome snow conditions. We all sat around for an hour after sunning on the deck while an 80's band played awesome music and danced.

Careful, the bigger the plane the bigger the motor and servos need to be.

When I built a kit, I took all the parts and sanded them down to half the thickness before removing them from the die cut sheets. Used a palm sander on a very flat surface. Then I would put ultra thin CA superglue along the open grain edge of the balsa letting it wick into the wood. It is amazing how far through the balsa the CA would wick, most parts you will see the grain on the opposite end of the part get wet/darker. Then wet it with CA accelerator mist to make sure the CA set. The result was a Balsa Acrylic Composite that is lighter and stronger than the original balsa. It would also join much stronger and with less glue to other parts since it was already saturated with glue. A typical 5lb 40 size plane given this treatment would only weigh 4lbs when built, very significant with much better flying characteristics.

I can take a nap for you. About 30 minutes after a pain pill I have no trouble conking out for a couple of hours.
