Yeesh!!! Another of my friends got engaged tonight.... I'm going to have to out and find some new friends... All of mine are getting married!

I was 37 wen I married Mrs. Carrera. There is no hurry unless you want to be a breeder.
I guess I have a better grasp of biology than my friends.... I'm still in the fence about kids, but I know there's no rush yet. Still quite a few years in that window.

One of the ladies I work with was 38 when she had her last kid. When she went to her kid's school for PTA or school functions all the other parents thought she was a the kid's grandmother. She was in her 50s dealing with a teanager.

Another lady I worked with poped out her daughter when she was 16. Her daughter followed her mom's lead. Debbi was a grandmother when she was 32. She is now a Great grandmother and she is not yet 50.

Hey now, I will be 52 when my youngest turns 18. I think both ways has its advantages. When I had my boys, I was ready. Financially and mentally. Physically, a little more difficult when you are older.

My friends who had kids younger have more freedom than I do right now but it's all timing. When their kids were younger, they had more financial issues.

Men can wait longer. Our eggs have expiration dates on them. Your little swimmers don't. You don't have as many and they might not swim as fast but they don't expire. That's why I think you see older men with younger women. When they are finally ready to have kids, they choose the gal with better eggs.

Ha ha ha ha!!! That's funny.

I definitely think there is a natural order to all of this. I still yearn for the baby... But more in a grandmother way. Uggggg... Did I just say that out loud??? I hope I don't have to deal with that for years but sometimes I visit the NICUs in the hospitals I work at and think, should I adopt while I can? A little girl? But then I think no. It would be selfish when I don't have a partner to help me.

So I will volunteer to hold the babies.

We are working on mapping the tornado damage area from Moore. You likely heard about the 3 people that died in the 7-11. They tried to shelter in the cooler. That building is GONE. It is just a concrete slab with a bunch of debris next to it.

The local power company hired some other company to map the damage and they had special permission to fly low. That imagery is available for free from the internet if you know where to look. We downloaded it and it is something I would be embarrassed to put out with my name on it. Our imagery kicks it ass. We flew it from a 4,000. It is amazing the difference. We may give the city of Moore the imagery and tell them if you want this done right please feel to call us in the future.

This is why I don't have TV... I would have shut down this week watching the news about OK. I read your last post so I decided to google the story about OKC rebuilding. But instead ended up reading about those 10 kids that died. Crying at my computer. I don't know what I would do if my boys died and they weren't with me. Those poor parents. I would feel like I had failed to protect my boys. So sad... And some were alive... They died from suffocating. Uggggg, breaks my heart. Poor babies. Now I need to go cry again...

Gotta get the grandsons meds delivered so we are meeting them half way. I think I'll need an extra gun, or at least an additional mag

Here Tweeze, a baby to cheer you up

I became a Granddad at 45 - wouldn't have had it any other way. The nest has been empty for four years, and my tadpoles swim into the void. Life is grand.

Being a grandparent is so much better then being a parent. I was 42 when the first grandson was hatched.
The best part about being a young parent/grandparent is you are still young enough to kick the kids a55es. That comes in handy from time to time

I'm sure if you want to be a Big Sister that you would do some child great good. If you get anything out of it, well, that's the fringe bennys.
