I have two on each far side of my hips but, from puberty not babies so they faded long ago.

I can't snowboard, only ski so I'm going to try wakeboarding all summer then give snowboarding another go.

Tree Pollen can go down any day now. Allergies are kicking my A$$. This is why I love fall and winter. Everything is going dormant.

I started going the the allergy clinic here 20 years ago. I get an injection once a week. My wife does it for me. It made a HUGE and wonderful improvement. It was worth the expense and all those injections. I just did the math. 20 years, one shot a week 1,400 shots.

The worst part is the testing.

you have to give snowboarding about four days, IMO, before you can say you've tried, and those days need to be close together, within a two week period. after four days, if you aren't having a blast, go back to skiing.

snowboarding is very difficult, initially, but the learning curve is very forgiving. once you can stand up and turn both directions, you have it made. the rest is just working on form. remember, snowboarding is mainly a controlled sideways skid.

Yea its tricky at first having your feet immobile, cemented on a board. Its almsot summer so I'll have to kick that habit with wakeboarding i guess.

Everything he said. I tried when I was in college... One day. It sucked. I spent the whole day on my butt. My pride was more hurt than anything. Said I hated it and gave up.

Over ten years later, decided I was going to get it if it killed me and didn't care if I looked like an idiot. Spent three days straight, got it and have been in love ever since. Still not the greatest. Being 35 when you pick it up makes you less brave. I wish I would have kept up with it back then. I would be doing jumps in the park!

I get shots also. I just started mine back up though. I had to go off of them during chemo treatment last year, then being off for a year they had to retest me and make new serum. I am only in about a month and a half, so they haven't really kicked in yet. When I was on them before, I loved it. Didn't even have to take pills.

Are shots better than swallowing the various antihistamine pills like Allegra, Benadryl, or whatever?

oh yeah, shots are immuno therapy. They are injecting you with what you are allergic to and increase the strength over time. It triggers your immune system to help fight against those hystamines and build up your tolerance. When I get back to my regular schedule once they build me up, I will get one shot every three weeks. I don't have any congestion or anything when I get to that point and no need to take additional pills.

Yup. Do it. I think that way is much better than the pills.

On another note, today is a GREAT work day. I had submitted an idea for an additional service to offer our customers and all the details how to implement it to my boss last week... Just as an extra thing, nothing required with my daily activities. She forwarded my plan to the corporate office. Just got an email from our Director at the corporate office telling me that she is so impressed with my idea and I did a nice job with the plan. Yikes! Five months into the job and I am getting noticed. Yay for me!!!!!

Morning, afternoon, evening Y'all.

Missed the pics. Must admit I'm dissapointed and internally makes me feel a bit dirty. Guess I'm still male which is a good thing, heh.

Work and fretting about my MIL coming down for my youngest's HS Graduation.

She can be soooo critical.

I lucked out with a MIL that actually likes me. I'd hate to have one like you described. Actually, my mom was like that towards my wife. I found that distance made everything better.

Like the others said, yes.

I rarely take any antihistamines anymore. The testing proved I was allergic to Pecan pollen and Hickory pollen and several grasses. There are not many if any Hickory trees around here but there are tons of them dang lousy rotten scum-bag no good worthless Pecan trees. When they are tasseling and making pollen is about the only time I take any antihistamines.

I lived on antihistamines for most of my life. Antihistamines are way better than when I was a kid. I had a prescription for Benadryl when I was in Jr. High School. Try staying awake in class with a heavy dose of Benadryl as a teenager.

It is quite helpful to know exactly what you are allergic to.

I have a wonderful MIL. The only way she could be better is if she owned a Porsche dealership. Since she is a retired school teacher that is not likely to happen.

It's funny, I've outlasted three other "Golden" Son in Laws,,,

She likes me OK but, I don't take her shyte. Early on I had to defend my wife to her (odd but, true) and her being the Matriarch of the wife's family and a Narcissist to boot, (wife agrees) makes it tense at times.

It's all good, I'm just gearing up for "the comments", ya know?
