I reclined in the front yard with my foot up and watched a friend wash the GTS then clean and treat the leather. Such a nice day.

The only thing that might have made it better would have been a hammock and a cold beer.

Christ, you two.

Morning everyone.

Jim Richards 06-02-2013 05:46 AM

It's car wash Sunday, Janet. Let's get to it! :D

Jferr006 06-02-2013 06:07 AM

Nah, I don't wash the equinox... It's a standing rule. The Porsche barely has paint to wash.

I get to make stepping stones with the kids, go to the grocery store, lounge outside while they play, clean the house and work out... Fun eh?
Fighting the urge to buy the 230k but a) I like it and b) I could lose the grocery getter. We don't really need it we have a gigantic suburban.

Okay just did my good deed for the day so I get to be a total chit until tomorrow.
The bench I picked up yesterday had a rather substantial under bench vise suitable for wood working.
A guy down the road has a wood shop so I gave it to him. He informed me that vise was about $250 new. I told him it was free to me so I sold it to him for the same price.

Lose the burban. Problem solved. I am sure you guys don't like feeding that thing

Jferr006 06-02-2013 06:30 AM

Can't, have to have something to tow the boat.

Besides its hubs dream truck. Lifted big tires, late eighties body style.
It's great on those Crabtree falls camping trips.

Jferr006 06-02-2013 06:31 AM

It doesn't get driven hardly ever so we aren't feeding it much besides, the stingray ate $200 worth of gas yesterday. It's the real culprit.

Rick V 06-02-2013 07:10 AM

I had an old 86 Ramcharger that I hardly ever drove but when I did it ate a bunch, 4mpg.
I built a monster 360 for it and it would outrun most anything on the road in a straight line, lived to play in the snow and mud, but it had to go.
I sold it when I bought the MB. I wish I had that engine back to put into Peggy

Jferr006 06-02-2013 07:13 AM

Ehh never been a girl that cared much for big trucks. Since we leave the boat in a wet slip all summer we really only NEED it to tow that 2x a year. I won't even ask him to get ride of that... It won't happen.

Holy dooley Richard, that's disgusting, you sould be able to get that through Obamacare I would have thought, what is the alternative, cut your foot off!! Certainly hope you can sort something out.

that sounds like a fun idea, wish we had a decent 3D cinema close to us.

Jim Richards 06-02-2013 08:36 AM

Hi Azzy. We haven't heard much from you for a while. Glad you're on board!

Jim Richards 06-02-2013 08:43 AM

We finished washing and vacuuming Lu's beater Jetta. It looks a lot better. Still need to clean all the vinyl and do more to make the wheels look nice. Jetta's can turn wheels black in no time. Crappy pad material, I guess.

Good Sunday morning to all of you! I have to pack. Last minute business trip to Denver then I fly back and whisk the boys and my mom to Texas for my nephew's high school graduation. Good kid. Already is an EMT and is looking to do something in the medical field. He is going to Texas A&M. My sister never finished college and her older son went straight into the Navy after high school. So this is a big deal. My sister is so proud. So is my brother-in-law. He is proud of both of the boys actually. We are a Navy family. He is a captain currently and he met my sister when she was in the Navy. My dad was in the US Navy as well. I considered the Air Force for a little bit but never signed up...

Porsche-poor 06-02-2013 09:25 AM

Yawn. Up late. Woke up way to early. My butts dragging.....

tweezers74 06-02-2013 09:44 AM

Me too. I need coffee. Lots.

Porsche-poor 06-02-2013 09:49 AM

To much work to go get. I'll just lay here.

Jferr006 06-02-2013 09:50 AM

I need another cup.
