He was a single guy and moved away about six months ago to be closer to his parents. He made regular visits to town and we had caught up with him only a month ago. He looked well. He was diagnosed a little shy of 12 months ago with a very aggressive tumor that was removed immediately. He was given no definite time other that being told to get his affairs in order quickly as it could be 6 weeks or it could be 6 months - the chance of beating this was slim to none. We new this day would come eventually but wasn't expecting the news this morning. It must have been quick for him. He died with his parents and sister at his side. I've just talked to Sharyn on the phone. That was a little emotional. Looking forward to seeing her this arvo.
