Porsche-poor 06-05-2013 06:38 AM

Morning all.

GH85Carrera 06-05-2013 06:57 AM

I just got a call from a guy that lived in Moore in a house that was heavily damaged by the tornado . He lives in Wisconsin now. He wants a photo of the area. He does not remember the street names. The real topper, he does not have a computer!

How does anyone function in 2013 with no computer at all? He does not even have a smart phone so no email. :(

I started using email or actually Fido-mail back in the very early 80s. Something like 30 years ago.

How did he know to contact you if he has no internet access?

Porsche-poor 06-05-2013 07:55 AM

friend of a friend of a friend..............

Morning everyone, have had a phone at my ear for two hours now on a long status telecom. I'm afraid I might loose some flesh when I try to pull the handset away.

Janet, you'd have to be pretty good to make a Sailor blush, at least this one! It's been tried many times with no success, heh.

Phone calls done,,,,,,OWWW, going to be awhile till the ear is back to normal. I refuse to wear a headset. I'm not a GDamn telemarketer.

Jim Richards 06-05-2013 09:52 AM

I would use the speakerphone mode to save wear & tear on the ear lobe.

He bought photos from us back in May 1999 when the other F5 300+ MPH wind tornado hit Moore OK. We put our copyright and phone number on every print.

Jim Richards 06-05-2013 10:10 AM

That makes sense. I guess every so often, your customers want to see what's left.

GH85Carrera 06-05-2013 10:21 AM

Wow!

Just wow.

I take it those dark clouds and some wind are bad.

Well, that's quite exciting, Richard. Happy Double-Hump Day to you, sir!

Jim Richards 06-05-2013 12:54 PM

This day is crawling along.

GH85Carrera 06-05-2013 01:02 PM

Not for me. I am working on the job with the "Bill Gates" wallet photos. 5x12 foot prints. I put on a roll of 60 inch wide paper and set the printer running. It can only get 8 prints out of a 100 foot long roll.

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1370462386.jpg

480 sq feet of prints per roll.

Trying to trim them apart is a pain. I need a bigger table than my 5x12 foot table.

nynor 06-05-2013 01:07 PM

that is some cool stuff, glen.

well, it is time for me to go pee in a cup. yay!!!!
