We fly a regular project at the dam at Canton Lake. The lakebed is gonna need to be mowed here soon if it does not rain up there soon.

The weather has been more spring-like, here. A wonderful commute on foot.

GH85Carrera 07-26-2013 11:17 AM

So the heat wave broke up there?

It is only 75 degrees here today.

Jim Richards 07-26-2013 11:19 AM

Low 80s here, but it was in the mid-60s when I walked to the office this morning.

GH85Carrera 07-26-2013 11:26 AM

On my commute in today once again I drove over 3 miles before seeing another car. I did see a deer with two fawns. They were just old enough to start loosing the spots.

Jim Richards 07-26-2013 11:58 AM

I saw plenty of cars but no deer.

GH85Carrera 07-26-2013 12:21 PM

I wish they would let the hunters take care of the excess deer population. We have way too many deer.

Yea, and they get hit by cars almost as often.

Jim Richards 07-26-2013 12:33 PM

Is that Mother Nature's way of thinning both the deer and car populations?

GH85Carrera 07-26-2013 12:39 PM

It thins the deer population, and the wallet of the car's owner.

I did not see the babies this morning until I had slowed way down. I saw mama and slowed down because usually if there is one there are more somewhere close by. I was going about 10 MPH when the babies showed up. I was just glad they all stayed off the road until I was past.

That area is thick with them. I saw one on Wednesday just 1/4 mile away from that spot.

They shouldn't put those deer crossings on such busy roads!;)

Yea, well that dang stupid deer that attacked my 911 just outside of SLO would have ignored it anyway. There was no deer crossing signs anywhere and it tried to cross.

Flieger 07-26-2013 12:56 PM

Hopefully that mountain lion that was hanging around campus for the last couple months I was there can take care of those deer.

That would be a win win.

Of course if you are lucky there might be a cougar or two stalking you. ;)

You just need to go to the right places and be bait. The hunt will begin.

Fark......jag is in the shop again.....
Needs a full transmission flush and tcu update as well as an electrical connector replaced that's under a seat where the sunroof likes to drain when the normal strains are plugged

Think there is a web site you can sign up at dateacougar.com, gocougar.com, cougars.net, or something
