I managed to diagnose and fix the issue with the Jag......with 20 minutes of targeted googling and 15 minutes of labor.....

I'm just pissed that it just left their damn shop and I still had to work on it......seriously......WTF

Sorry. I realized that after I posted my original thought. Both of my bikes are now 20 years-old. Too bad my girlfriends aren't.

reminds me of a quote from a great man:
Your girlfriend should always be younger than your best Scotch

Morning Y'all.
Not trying to throw salt in an open wound Joe, but I think I remember trying to tell you to not buy a jag.
You need to get yourself into a nice MB

G'day Rick How's ya been.

I haven't been able to look in during the day lately - Finally been moving into the new office/lab at work and the new office isn't quite as secluded as the old office. I'm also sharing the office with another bod. :(

It's hard work squeezing all my 5hit into a space 1/3 the size I had...I'm purging a lot. :(

You need one of those disintegrating/reintrgrating gizmos that Marvin the Martian uses

Outback Porsche 08-21-2013 03:35 AM

One of them things would be handy for many situations. ;)

Rick V 08-21-2013 03:40 AM

Yup, I think i cold solve a whole lot of issues with one of those

GH85Carrera 08-21-2013 05:19 AM

Morning folks.

Hump day has arrived.

Andy911sc 08-21-2013 09:28 AM

Hey everyone... feeling drained today.

But.... it's Humpidy dumpidy day!

porsche4life 08-21-2013 09:31 AM

Howdy Andy....

First day back to class today.... I have the same prof for both of my MWF classes.... She is out for the first few days this year due to a death in her family. So the dept chair came in and gave us a syallbus and said see you friday. Now I'm almost done with the 3 hr wait for him to do that again... waste of a freaking day...

GH85Carrera 08-21-2013 09:48 AM

Sounds like the old hurry up and wait routine.

porsche4life 08-21-2013 09:53 AM

Pretty apt description of it glen...

HHI944 08-21-2013 10:08 AM

Bloody hell....
Driving the damn car in for them to look at this fuel gauge fault and suspension calibration issue and the parking brake actuator they just replaced failed.....

porsche4life 08-21-2013 10:13 AM

Joe... Not saying we told you so... But.... ;)

HHI944 08-21-2013 10:16 AM

And again I will say, this is not a vehicle reliability issue......it is a service department issue, but carry on with your unfounded preconceptions of the reliability of Jags

Flieger 08-21-2013 11:58 AM

Definition of insanity.

HHI944 08-21-2013 12:04 PM

Ok, I'll take my lashings on that one......
I'm just stubborn and have this funny idea stuck in my head that they should fix this since they've claimed to have fixed the problem multiple times.....
My wallet is shut at this point and the dealership GM is aware of this. I dropped it off, told them to call when it was fixed and left in a loaner. ....didnt sign any work authorizations.....so, if need be, I'll just swing by and swap out real quick if they think they're going to charge me anymore
