All the years I did R/C planes, managed to NOT get anything in a running prop except for air.

One guy in the club was flying his Piper Cub from a lawn chair. Taxied it right up to the chair to do a little tuning on the mixture. When he leaned forward his tummy hit the throttle. Instead of going straight the wing caught on him and his chair, it spun the plane around so it headed straight for the back of his chair. The front of the plane was just tall enough so the prop was hitting him on the butt as he yelled and tried to get out of the chair. He wasn't hurt bad, just a few small lacerations like Joe described, BUT it sure was funny to watch.

Morning Rick, how goes the day so far?

Have you decided to buy the new "weapon", another one for the collection, should keep you amused on a warm day.

Was watching the news this morning, and I see that guy that held those three girls captive for over 10 years has managed to hang himself in jail. The girls will feel absolutely cheated by that, he should have had to rot in prison for the next 60 years, I am surprised that he wasn't under constant surveillance and that he had something in his cell that he could use to hang himself. Bastard, got the easy way out, I am sure he didn't leave the girls anything they could use to kill themselves to escape from his brutality.

My rant for today!

Azzy, I understand wanting him to suffer. Personally I think the entire world became a better place when he died. No more taxpayer money wasted on him. They should drag his body off to a pig farm and feed him to the pigs. Turn him into pig crap. He was just crap anyway.

I think every prison should have a suicide room. A noose ready to go. Just sign in, leave a video saying you really want to, and let em hang.

On that cheery note. Good morning. It is HUMP day!

Morning Rick, Azzy, and Glen

That gun would be an awesome buy. My dad and I almost got our hands on a ridiculously low priced 338 Lapua at a Fire Sale but we were 5 hours too late. I think it was the same situation, the guy bought it to have it, but really needed the money in a pinch. Gun looked like it only had a few rounds shot through it. We are huge gun collectors and sportsman. My dad is actually on his way to putting together a gun shop as a side business. He is a tool maker by trade, mixing hobby and passion and it wont feel like work.

Would it be a bad thing if I asked my fiance to do a back yard wedding with a BBQ and use the money I save from it to start working on my 911?

I have a college friend who made a custom set of alum wheels for his RC truck. He found that in his case the battery lasted longer cause the car could not spin the wheels and just sit there. The extra weight gave it more traction.

Judging by how quick i'm spinning rubber off the tires, I'm hooking up, but the tires just won't bite!

I'm ordering new tires, and the new ones are heavier they say, plus a better tread so that should solve some of my issues with no traction. Part of it is just a ton of torque from the brushless motor. Getting too heavy of a wheel causes a whole new host of issues and you start tearing more stuff too. I'll stick to whats proven on the trucks. Just need to figure out how much I want to step down my pinion with the bigger tires. Don't want to get the motor or ESC running hot.

makes sense.

Anyone here want to help sell tickets to Connor's next show. It is becoming a real eye opener for him. His friends are not into the music he plays and are not interested in $20 tickets. Going to be a tuff few weeks for him.

thanks.

This is the age group that like his music but the target audience is not willing to pony up $20 for a 30 minute set. I don't blame them but they are expected to sell to their friends and most are not interested.

Cool. Have fun. Just tell them the hand was from a failed attempt to make an automated cigar cutter.
