Morning Y'all. I was td that today we are keeping the new grandkid for most of the day. He is about a month old or something like that, I think I am going to figure out something he can do around here. Nothing like having child labor dropped off at the house

GH85Carrera 11-02-2013 06:17 AM

Good morning folks.

It has been a noisy morning around here. We have had 6 or 7 earthquakes since 4:00 am. They are just strong enough to hear the boom and the windows rattle. No damage here.

Jim Richards 11-02-2013 06:28 AM

Fracking earthquakes.

GH85Carrera 11-02-2013 06:32 AM

We have had little earthquakes for long before fracking. My dad talked about several when he was still going to school.

GH85Carrera 11-02-2013 07:26 AM

Just had another one. We don't really feel them but the house rattles.

It will be interesting to hear if where the epicenter is or if they can tie it to fracking.

Stijn!!

Three earthquakes rattled the central Oklahoma area early Saturday morning.

The first one, a 3.7 magnitude earthquake, was recorded just after 4:30 a.m. Its epicenter was located five miles east, northeast of Edmond, 9 miles northwest of Choctaw, ten miles north of Midwest City, and 11 miles northeast of Oklahoma City. It was about three miles deep.

Another 2.6 magnitude earthquake was recorded at 5:41 a.m. Its epicenter was located four miles north of Spencer, six miles southeast of Edmond, and 11 miles northeast of Oklahoma City. It was also about three miles deep.

The latest one, a 2.7 magnitude earthquake, was recorded just after 7 a.m. Its epicenter was located four miles northwest of Jones, seven miles east, southeast of Edmond, and 13 miles northeast of Oklahoma City.

It was also about three miles deep.

No damage or injuries were immediately reported in the affected areas.

That is the most current news reports. We have had several since then.

HHI944 11-02-2013 07:51 AM

earthquakes.......yeah, we don't do those over here

nynor 11-02-2013 08:53 AM

just hurricanes..... :)

livi 11-02-2013 09:18 AM

Just rain and fog..

RKDinOKC 11-02-2013 09:22 AM

My Attic rattles when we have those quake things. Happened to be up when the 4:30 one went off, missed the others. Would much rather have a bunch of little ones than one big one when it comes to earth quakes. The only damage I've noticed over the years is that a few of Mom's chicken chotchkies committed suicide hurling themselves off the plate rack in the kitchen.

Well I am the type of carpenter that caulk was invented for, and today I am doing the trim work in the downstairs bathroom, lets add the fact that when they built my house they used a rusty logging chain as a straight edge and the one eye thumb method of plumb, I am having a fun day.
At least Beth is happy, she is playing with Ben

Same guy built parts of my house.

+1 That guy sure gets around considering his level of shoddy craftsmanship.

I took my daughter to gymnastics this morning. While sitting there in the gym, my wife asked me to write a song for a school event she's working on. She called me to tell me the theme is "optimism" which she wanted me to work in the song. Hmmm. What rhymes with optimism? Altruism, plagiarism (I'm using someone else's tune for this song, after all), eroticism, priapism.... I settled on Judaism, as this is for a Jewish day school.

Probably run out of every state.

I think I am done for the day, I am down to primer and that stinkin crap can wait until tomorrow. I don't want to inflict the smell on a one month old, yeah thats a great excuse

nynor 11-02-2013 03:00 PM

Rick V 11-02-2013 04:12 PM

Okay I bit the bullet and decided to do the priming. I would rather do trim on a crocked house than paint
