Odd. For the past week there's been a new black Ferrari FF parked on the street in front of the apartments at the end of the block. Looks to be a blonde who drives it.

she probably doesn't deserve it, some sugar daddy

.....I hate german engineers......they obviously designed the Disco 2 as a way of getting back at us for winning WWII....

Oil change....oooh a nice little removable port in the undertray for the oil filter.....except if the vehicle isn't perfectly level the oil goes all around the port.....and you can't actually get the filter out without turning it sideways to clear the sway bars.....

spark plug change.......fuch....I'm bloody, cursing and trying desperately to not break a plug boot because the freaking coil is so buried you can't get to it without removing the entire intake manifold....

Hey... Rick... What was it we said we were going to say when Joe bought that Landy?

HHI944 11-16-2013 11:46 AM

Ugh....I'll take a pic of the plugs I pulled out later tonight......almost no electrode left....gonna go ahead and do the tyranny and differentials tomorrow.....who knows when they were last done.....

I'm good with just doing my own stuff and occasionally helping friends out....

And the schmuck I bought the truck from had way to hot plugs in it so I decided to compression test each cylinder to make sure all was good.....All in spec....
Oh and he was running Mobil 1 5w-30.....When the manual calls for conventional 10w-40.....

I got my Rover on the premiss that if Top Gear could make across the rain forest with one, it would survive a few Oklahoma winters. So far, so good. If the A/C worked better I would fix it up. Especially since one of the biggest Rover junk yards is here in OKC.

yep. ours is a '96. we got it in 2000. still going strong. yeah, we have repair bills every year, but its paid for. it still drives great.

Stijn!!

Amazing weather today. It is still 70 degrees. The high was 77 today. I had the AC running in the car. We took the dogs on a walk at the park. We all got hot.

Honestly, I'm quite happy with the Disco....The plugs just sucked, quite hard to get to without removing all sorts of stuff....tranny flush should be quick and easy.....

Honestly, i can't believe how well it was running with the plugs that were in there

Anyone played with brassmax to feed their spoon? It's bulgarian, brass, fmj and non corrosive primer..... $22 for a box of 100 to feed my 938....

The stuff has been popping up at Walmart near me but just in 9 mil

RKDinOKC 11-17-2013 01:35 AM

It's been too long, the only thing I know about spoon feeding is the Feds bought up a whole bunch just before the EPA took the lead out of everyone's pencils. They couldn't turn lead into gold so they are trying to make it just as expensive.

Rick V 11-17-2013 03:42 AM

Morning Y'all.
Don't know anything about brassmax but as long as the casings aren't steel, gopher it
