the thing i didn't like about the magpul sights is that they are plastic. it annoys me that they are plastic AND they want over $50. that is ridiculous. i paid the same money for some promag billet sights and loved them. then, i bought a proper carry handle with battle sights in it and love it even more. my two cents. oh, and i can change between the two, not sure why i'd do that, in minutes. probably less than a minute.

I saw a comparison of the Magpul BUS, Knights Armament and Troy offerings.....with the Magpul being cheaper by more than half compared to the others....They did a drop test, both the troy and Knights were damaged enough that one was something like 5-6MOA off and no longer adjustable and the other was 28 freakin MOA off......The magpul was less than 1 MOA off.

I am Jealous! I will be finding something like that for my garage fairly soon. I want it recessed into the floor so the top of it is flush with the concrete.

Glen it was on Craigslist in Norman for over a month...
I won't be recessing it, but rather building a platform to drive up on. want it to all remain semi mobile for now. |

don't know what to say. i had both items in my hand. the magpul rear sight was $55 (roughly) and the billet promag rear sight was the same or less money. and i don't drop my weapons, so i doubt the sights will be getting damaged from that activity. just saying.

A local shop has the MBUS gen 2 stuff for $35 for the front and $50 rear....
PSA just started making some as well....all billet and $100 for the set... I might go that route. |

as for dropping....I don't intend to, but this build is strictly a SHTF spoon for me.....I love my 94 for plinking....the stupid long sight radius with a peep sight makes it a lot of fun to shoot

here's a down picture of that lift. Its pretty thick, so I will have to make something to drive up on so I can store it under the 944. But we have some nice 2" aluminum extrusion that is flat on top that should do the trick. The cart with the pump has a quick connect hose so you can disconnect it and roll it out of the way.

Really good food, not too hot (I like really hot but it usually ends with severe heartburn) but still spicy enough that you knew you'd eaten chilli.
A few bugs in the table service (entree and mains arrived at the same time) but they'll work that out. My entree consisted of Chiles Rellenos, a tequila shot and a bloody mary oyster shot. Sharyn had a trio of dips with tortillas (they were yummy too). My main was a chorizo chilly dog dressed with a bean chilli and bacon (burp!). Sharyn had a pulled pork Mexican sanga - must have been good coz she didn't share ![]() Too full for desert but there was a nice selection to choose from. I'll have to give them a go next time.
