I should not have wikipedia'd that. Sounds like they're the Australian equivalent of our black widow spiders. From time to time we have little infestations of them around my yard.

Spent the day wrestling with the window shrinkie-dink stuff. I have got to get out of this environment. The cold makes my temper very short

yummo lamb shanks Dee sounds great, us after a day of putting up christmas cheer in the form of lights outside, I have just raided the freezer for left over dinners, and made a couple of sunny looking cocktails in giant Hard Rock glasses, and we are pretending we are somewhere warmer :)

Rick V 11-30-2013 02:30 PM

A much better way to spend my evening.

nope. i was too lazy. also, the main heat loss in our house is the walls. there is no insulation. brick and plaster and lathe. all the windows are new, double pane, energy efficient, blah blah blah. i've been thinking about painting the entire inside of the house with this stuff that adds something like R22 (or something like that) insulation with just a coat of paint. i'll have to see if i can find a link.

I did the inside of the garage with dry-loc and it made a huge difference. Those 1965 cinderblocks are not of the dense variety

Just waiting on the BCG and the levang linear compensator that I ordered and she'll be up and running!

azzarule 11-30-2013 03:31 PM

Rick, you should have your feet in the picture warming up by the fire, that would mean your sitting down having a good rest.

Rick V 11-30-2013 03:34 PM

Me need to rest? Your FB pictures of your day seem to say you need to rest. Ya light flinging over achiever :)
