There is still some ice but the 5 or 6 inches of white crap is gone. This is only part of the driveway.

RKDinOKC 12-06-2013 01:12 PM

I should do that on my drive and sidewalk, it would be good physical therapy.

The Linear Compensator came today....now I just have to go back through and check all of the torque specs and do an initial lube job!!The LC should direct all muzzle blast forward....makes life easier on the operator of the weapon and allows for the free float to shroud the barrel completely....http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w...psfrzyyogr.jpg

Still to cold here for that white crap yet. It will be our luck to see it as the temp comes up and the rain will wash it all away.

GH85Carrera 12-06-2013 02:34 PM

How can it be too cold for white stuff? It snows all the time at the poles and it is 40 below. Alaska is colder than your area and it has a lot of snow.

Porsche-poor 12-06-2013 02:37 PM

mostly cause of the no clouds and no moisture also the reason we are so cold.

RKDinOKC 12-06-2013 03:12 PM

French fries topped with, queso, green chiles, sour creme, chipotle ranch, chopped up and scrambled with some eggs. Yummy.

Only got about 1/3 of my driveway clearing done today.

Porsche-poor 12-06-2013 03:15 PM

Sounds interesting be worth trying once.

RKDinOKC 12-06-2013 03:18 PM

Local burgers and beer joint. The Garage, makes the green chili fries, I really like em. Mix left over fries in the eggs. Very tasty, I would do it again too.

When the roads clear will have to get out and collect all the ingredients to make my Chip Juice. I give it to friends and family for Christmas. Takes a couple of days to make enough, but everyone seems to like it. Some ask for more. Didn't make any last year because of the foot thing so I'm sure everyone will really like it this year.

Evening all,

interesting that the s&&^% is headed in our direction, thanks all you western, northern and central gents for that!! You could have kept it over there, but I am looking forward to it arriving, the house will look lovely all christmas lights and all and the snow, make a great picture, then it can melt and go away for a while until my visitors from the tropics of Aust get here on Christmas Eve, and freeze their little tooshies off, looking forward to that!!!

Not that NYC isn't going to be friggin freezing the week before Christmas.

Evening Y'all
The frozen crap will be here sunday for us and we have a full schedule of ice with some freezing rain on top.
Got some wood set and ready to burn. I hate the frozen stuff but a nice fire makes it almost seem pretty

I like watching it on the weekends but not during the week.....the boss thinks that I live on a flat road.

It seems strange to us northern hemisphere folks that you are used to a hot Christmas. I guess a white Christmas in Oz is as rare as in Hawaii.

it is the warm air that brings the moisture in. after that, it is accumulation of snow, due to the average temp preventing the previous snow from melting. for instance, it is really cold in utah, but clear. the snow is coming in a couple of days, as it is supposed to warm up about 10 to 15 degrees F.

edit: the snow is supposed to be here tonight, through sunday. oy vey.

The Tazweigans might get unlucky enough to see a white Christmas but us mainlanders have bucklies chance.

We bought a Kafir Lime tree the other day. Time to go dig a hole in the garden.

azzarule 12-06-2013 04:18 PM

We had snow once in Canberra on Christmas Day, go figure, it was the middle of summer!!

Maybe seen it a few times in the Tassie highlands, and around Mt Wellington behind Hobart, but mostly, stinking friggin hot.

Always used to amuse me as a child that the stuff on the Teev used to be Bing Crosby etc in the snow singing White Christmas type of movies etc, and it was stinking hot and we were usually down the east coast in Tassie at the beach!

A bit the same as here, I keep referring to the christmas summer holidays, and thinking of Christmas as the long summer holiday, which it isn't, the kids get a few days off and that's it.

Safety tip for the weekend: If you're drunk and going to try to jump over a gate, make sure you don't impale your palm on one of the pointy finials as you fall down the other side.

No pics because it'll make slodave queasy.
