Spent this cold ass day ducking the wind and spending money. Swapped out the 3X9 BDC scope for a new 6X24 Mil-Dot one. Time to sight it in and break in the barrel . That is gonna be a spendy time throwing lead.

The ethanol is eating up the rail lines on Subi badly. Just the three at the rails. I think heat is the catalyst to the leaks

the leak was this little piece of hose towards the front of the car, passenger side that comes off the fuel rail. it seems to be leaking intermittently, as i smelled gas, pulled over and the little hose was wet with fuel. then drove it home, no fuel smell, dry when i got home, except a dark spot up against the clamp.
so, i get some new hose and quickly find out that there is no way to get the new hose on there without partially removing the fuel rail. partially removed the fuel rail. get the hose on, put it together. doesn't start. get out of the car. a huge puddle of fuel. start looking at it, realize that the top injector seal at cylinder three must be bad. call around. find seals at the dealership. buy a full set for all four cylinders. tear it back down, but this time i pull the entire rail, which required some wrestling with another fuel hose at the back. i find that the entire top seal is gone, missing, can't find it anywhere, from cylinder three. !WTF! pull the injectors for one and three, replace the top and bottom seals, decide that i don't want to break anything else, so i don't replace the middle seal, they look good. put it back together. it fires right up. i let it run for a bit, no leaks. PITA,

The three rubber hoses at the two rails have been giving us fits.

hmm... i'll keep that in mind.
if i find another leak at that back hose, i'll have to pull then entire intake to get to inner clamp: some genius screwed the clamp on in such a way as it will be impossible to get to it.

Just cut the clamp off and you can replace it with access. Other then knocking the rails loose I have not had to pull anything else to do that job

i'd have to get pretty creative to cut that clamp: it is tucked under the intake a bit. however, that is where i'd start.

The scope looks good Rick, I know a lot of people love the Vortex Sparc, but I don't know anyone who has one of their standard scopes.

They are supposed to stay true with a heavy recoil. I think this is one of those applications

7mm rem mag... yeah, recoil might be an issue. however, i think your rifle has a factory muzzle brake. i shot my neighbor's remington 700 in 300 win mag, which has a factory muzzle brake. his rifle is much lighter than mine, yet the recoil was surprisingly much less.

There is no brake on mine, and the only way I am going to be able to put one on is to have the barrel threaded. Unfortunately nobody in these parts does it in house. I am looking for a heavier stock, since the 16 and the 111 are the same dimensions I am thinking I can trade the composite one for a wooden one.
