afternoon all. Drawing issue out the door. Not much going on right now. Sun is out I'm tempted.....

The accepted fastest around a corner on pavement with race compounds is an 8 to 15 degree slip angle so racers do drift. With the tire compounds and lack of tread they don't look or sound like they are slipping but they are.

Oh, and yes I am posting this from poolside. Freaking awesome out here today, even if a bit cloudy... Just had to grab and Abita Amber and take the laptop out by the pool... :D
|
you sir are a tease.
|
There's beer left. Come on over. ;)
And I was nice and didn't post a picture! :p |
I'd sit out by my pool too if we had one.........but we'd call it a skating rink currently.
Headed below 0 again tonight. |

I wouldn't exactly call slip angles less than 10 degrees (or within a few degrees of peak lateral) to be drifting. |

I've got a scissor lift you can use too D. ;)

Stijn!!
D, that scissor lift is just over $1,900 delivered. Not cheap but not crazy expensive.
|
i bet it would pay for itself within two years, at my house.

Wow, battery life on this phone is pretty dang solid. Worked about a medium day and still have 65% on my S4 I'd be around 25%

Beautiful scenery up on Cradle Mountain. Did a 6km walk today, now looking forward to coming back here one day to do the 65km walk.

Sources on slip angles...both Skip Barber and Stephens Brothers (Hallet) Racing Schools, and various performance driving books. In the books the extreme example of ice driving was given to illustrate how lower grip increases the slip angle. There is a reason it is called Slip Angle.

morning everyone

65km walk sounds like real exercise. Do they have beer stands along the way to stop and get a nice frosty stubby? Good morning folks. |
Hola, y'all. Hey Tom, where was that picture taken? Looks like enough sand there.
Jeff, is it safe to go in the water, or are there critters that can eat ya in there? |
