We're dragging both the roof top tent and the camper trailer down to Tassie with us. But as the weather down there can often be quite 5hithouse, the motel option has not been discounted for the odd occasion.

I love collector insurance. ....added the Lotus to my policy.....
$480/yr for the Lotus and Landy....7500 miles allowed per year on each, agreed value and $500 deductible with a less than stellar driving record

Outback Porsche 01-10-2014 04:02 PM

Oh my YAWN! Still waking up and need coffee.

Noah930 01-10-2014 04:04 PM

Joe, how old does the vehicle have to be for your collector policy?

When I put the 911 on a collector policy, AAA was requiring 20 years. I think McLovin told me AAA now requires a vehicle to be 40 years-old.

I use American Collector, they're normally 25yrs I think, but the Lotus qualified because of how few made it to the states.

I use Grundy for my '93 964.

HHI944 01-10-2014 04:15 PM

I use American Collector through USAA, pretty decent discount overall and the allowed yearly mileage was better than competitors.

Mmmmm
Coffee and croissants.

Insurance is expensive over here (everything is expensive over here). I fork out just over $1600 a year for three fully comprehensive policies.

What are yalls thoughts on Super ATE blue brake fluid ? The Lotus came with upgraded brake lines....In a box in the trunk. I'm gonna swap em in and do a fluid flush.

Rick V 01-10-2014 04:39 PM

It's more then you will need in a street car, which makes it just about right. I have it in everything

HHI944 01-10-2014 04:42 PM

Fark, looks like the blue is out of circulation thanks to our government 'protecting' us from any brake fluid not amber/yellow colored.....guess I'll go with the ATE type 200

Rick V 01-10-2014 04:44 PM

ATE super Gold is the same thing

My 911 cost me a whopping 22 bucks a month for full coverage agreed value policy.

Rick V 01-10-2014 04:52 PM

Yeah, I don't think so......
