Last year I was in the high 800s.

We are staying at the Hyatt for the week. I will change hotels for Saturday's DE. Max, what is a good place to stay on Saturday 21st? I figure close to the track would be nice. I will have to get up early on the 22nd and start the long drive home.

Every year the price goes up for Parade. It is annoying that the club wants to make so much money. The national club has about 4 or 5 million in assets and will make over 1/2 a million on Parade in profit.

The DE is rather pricey for a day of fun as well. I wonder what that track rents for for the day? It must be a ton. Ah well, it's just money.

The registration web site is vastly improved. Last year was just horrible.

All those suckers with real jobs requiring them to drive into downtown. that has to suck.

I had to park on the street and walk a block to the City of OKC municipal building and get a building permit approved and pay the fee for the storm shelter. I discovered if one tries to do that in the middle of the day when traffic is light the line at the permit office is a minimum one hour wait. If you get there in the morning the wait is just a few minutes.

Then when I went to lunch I stopped at a local 911 repair shop hand got him to sign off on my insurance appraisal form. I am raising the insured value on my car and they insist on a professional to evaluate the car. Now I have to have my agent take some photos of the car. I have not even had time for my afternoon nap!
I am glad I did not try to do it in the half hour after I get dressed and before I leave for work. Took a while. I was not sure if it started at 12am eastern or pacific time, and a friend texted me at 9pm pacific and told me to register now or it would sell out. So I got to it after dinner and was done about 11:30.

Most of the times I have been to Laguna Seca I/we just stayed in SLO and drove up in the morning for the races in the afternoon. I haven't made any hotel arrangements yet. Still need to talk with my dad about it. We stayed once at a place in Seaside I think.

I hope I can do the Parade laps at Laguna Seca after the Canepa tour. It doesn't say anything about noise limit.

Tickets for the Monterey Historics for 3 days are less expensive than the basic registration fee for Parade. I ended up spending about $550 last night for Parade, events, and goodie stuff. And I still have to do hotels. Might stay in SLO a couple of the nights.

Tried that at work. Turns out I am SuperMan!!! Able to pick up the bus and throw it back at them. Probably why they have me working from home. Get the projects/problems no-one else can figure out. Most of the problems are because someone didn't know what they were doing or how it would effect everything else.

I sure am good at spending money. Wish I could make it as fast as I spend it.

Just bought some Tarett RSR replica sway bars to replace my worn-out Weltmeisters (bushings are totally shot). I can install them with the lightweight rear brakes once the car comes back with the restored MFI.

It's gonna be a whole new car!

Max, typically Parade does not sell out for registration anymore. They just keep adding numbers. The tough part is getting a room, or a particular event. Your low number will let you get a space on any tour or event if you reserve it soon. As far as hotel rooms, I bet the main places are sold out already. That means you will have to take a shuttle to get to the main hotel.

I figured the hotels would be full. The only thing we need to go to the main hotel for is check-in, right? Why take the shuttle when I drove the Porsche?

Edit: Goodie store and tech sessions are there too.

What is with the "A" suffix in the email I got confirming my registration is complete?

And my spots are reserved because I paid the event fees already, correct?

The hotel parking lot will be full and restricted to guests only. There will be LOTS of people in cars and not enough places to park. Parking is always tight and hard to get a good spot. It is fun just to walk through the parking lot and see the hundreds of Porsches.

The A is the member the B is a associate member. I get the A my wife is B with the same car number. Remember to ALWAYS have your badge with you. You need your badge to gain access to any indoor activity.

Your badge will get you into the goodie store and the Concours. If you want to participate in the Rally or Autocross you have to pay an additional fee and reserve a spot. The same for the drives. There is a fee for dang near everything.

Be prepared to wait in a lot of lines. With a couple of thousand of people trying to do the same task there is always a line.

The meals are very expensive but usually very good. There is a seminar for first time Parade attendees. You might check that out.

Overall it is a lot of fun for a week, but it is impossible to have 2,000 people in one area doing the same activities with no lines or problems.

Some of you people really know how to hang on to Winter.

Planning to do my spring car wash and detail to insure the spring rains.

My wife shot a video driving down the driveway and into town but I don't know how to post it.
I'll try to post it to You Tube and see if I can embed it here.
