I like steak, but I will pass on the red wine. I tried to develop a taste for wine, it never happened. I have never had a glass of wine and thought Yum, that's good.
Beer on the other hand is easy drinking for me. Good hump day morning folks.

Morning all. Short day for me, have a few appointments this afternoon. I should be out of here at 12:30. Try and not be blocking the door.

I spent the morning getting trained by HR on their new system. Meh. Let's leave it at that.
It really got cold here (for April). I wore my parka again. I really, really want it to be (and stay) Spring. Oh well. Roughly one month away from my next work-cation. Cannot wait.

I wore my shorts to work today because dang it, it is the second 1/2 of freakin April! It was 50 this morning and the high is supposed to be 63 but is is still only 54. The 36 to 40 MPH winds are kinda nippy but I am a hairy legged macho manly man and I refuse to get all dressed up and formal and wear jeans.

Wow, just wow. Got some Lard, not the hydrogenated kind, supposed to be good for you. Put a chunk in a skillet and go it hot. Ran some small taters thought the slicer thing on the Cuisinart to get get em thin. Put them thin tader slices in the hot lard, flipped em and set em out on some paper towels. Liberally salted em (iodized salt is suppose to be good for you because of the iodine). And really enjoyed some fresh crisp homemade tater chips. Yummm.
Potato chips were first only available in high falootin' fancy smancy steak joints. Supposedly a diner complained that the fried potatoes were thick and soggy. The chef made em really thin and crisp for spite. The extra thin crispy fried potatoes quickly became a hit. It wasn't until much later that chips were offered to take home, and then they came in barrels, You had to get there early or you would be scraping the bottom of the barrel.
