They walk among us...
One of our work vehicles blew a tyre and was driven to work with the spare. Once here all the tyres on said vehicle were inspected and one tyre was found to be suspect. Said vehicle was deemed to be unsafe to drive back to town (40km) to get new tyres. Okay, can deal with that. The admin manager, in all his wisdom, has decided to hire a flat bed recovery vehicle from town to come get said vehicle for it to be transported to town for fitting of new tyres. WTF? It's not like there's another 15 vehicles sitting around here doing sweet FA, that can transport the rooted wheels/tyres to town then bring them back. What a useless waste of $$$$, or am I missing something? |

Although I was wondering why one of these was framed on his wall  http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1405475544.jpg It all make sense now, he takes it up the arse :D |
Maybe his in-laws own the towing company.
|
Oh fuch to the no.....there's some thumping ghetto music coming from next door....I really want to throw on the rattle and hang out in the driveway ...
|
Well blamed incompetence breeds promotion. See it all the time, just can't seem to get down the routine.
Maybe they don't have insurance to cover any injuries incurred while repairing a vehicle so must take said vehicle to a proper repair facility. Friend drives a deliver truck and is not allowed to do anything but load/unload, drive and put gas in it. He says he washes it though he isn't supposed to. Crankin up the head banging metal usually trumps the hip hop. Them devil worshiping white boys is crazy dude. Spiked up hair camo pants and a black punisher t-shirt with the sleeves torn off when you answer the door. Dog collar if you got one. |
Back in college, I'd answer the door for JWs, Mormons, etc. wearing boxers and holding a bottle of beer and shotgun. They never wanted to come in for a chat....oh well.
|
I just tell them..."If you are selling saviours, I've already got one."
When neighbors got too loud when I was in college, my geologist majoring flat mate and I would start tossing this huge 90lb rock he had. Took both of us to toss it high enough it would hit the ground with a resounding thud. Amazing how the near earthquake thuds of that big rock hitting the ground in our back yard would calm the house next door down. We only had to use the rock on a couple of occasions and they never got loud again. Today they would probably just think their subs were kickin it. |
And now I'm wide awake.....fuch
Anyone got some lunesta? Way back in the day, right after my motorcycle wreck, I popped 2 lunesta and 2 vicodan at the same time....after having been wide awake for the previous 48ish hours.....slept just shy of 24hrs straight....that was interesting |
Benadryl works for me.

Oh boy! Looks like spring. The Rover could use some fresh dampers. 2 inch lift with springs seems very popular. Would have to carry a step for Mom to climb in and out though.

boing-a-boing-a-boing...
These give the old girl 2 inches on original (don't know any old girl that will say no to an extra 2 inches :D ). I've got a similar TD setup already that's now knacked - the old girl drags her arse a bit as she has a saggy bum like an old kingswood, and the left hand rear has collapsed a little with the constant weight of a 70L second fuel tank, a 45kg 105Ah AGM battery, and a 40L Engel fridge. The fronts struts moan and complain a lot, thus this time (this is the 4th set of suspension in just over 200k kms) I opted to refresh the strut mounts as well. This also had the extra benefit that the struts came pre-assembled, and thus will save heaps of time fitting. I've gone for the next level up in the springs, as the old girl is always carrying a load for going into the never never. Heavy duty springs front and back with the rear set up for 300kg-to-GVM. I like the flexibility and durability of the 800% adjustable 40mm bore foam cell shocks all round. The foam cells take longer to fade on the corrugated roads, so 4 new ones to go in. Woohoo! |
Yeah I've seen pictures of the "roads" under there. Looks like the suspension really takes a beat down. Most of our off roading is more mud boggin or puddle jumpin around here. Out west its all about rock climbing and articulation.
