I want the new mini suv by Porsche. It is about the same size as my RDX

RKDinOKC 08-06-2014 08:11 AM

If you get a Cayenne for the Outback...DON'T get it with the Air Suspension. Understand it can't take the conditions of those trails.

Inderstand Macan, is pronounced Muhcawn. Optioned an S model up to $85K pretty quickly.

Cayenne ooooohhhh?! Steve would like one of them the sports model to take home, yeah right, to get the RHD conversion done would cost a fortune.

Are you required to convert it?
I've got RHD and LHD vehicles and drive them both frequently.

Time for the gym.....my whole body hurts.....this is great!

When Porsche first announced they were working on a small SUV that called it the Cajun. The funny thing the Germans could not pronounce Ka-jun they kept saying K-yune. They decided to name it after a bird instead of a swamper from Louisiana.

RKD, September 3rd at 1:12 in the afternoon it will arrive. Central time.

Rick, I hope you get to use some of the nice IR toys on top of your lighted sniper nest. I understand some of the tracers available are visible only in NV goggles as well. They should give you several different "options" to use up there while we are dreaming big.

Maybe one of these in .416? https://www.barrett.net/firearms/model99

Noah930 08-06-2014 09:37 AM

My understanding was that Cajun was a contraction of Cayenne Junior. Not sure if that was ever intended to be the real, marketed name of the vehicle, or if it was just an internal designation during development, though.

RKDinOKC 08-06-2014 10:08 AM

Just got a call. Says the Cayenne will be picked up at the dealership in Chicago today for delivery here on Friday Aug 8th. But, it ain't actually here yet.

Do the have flares you can fire off that are only visible to NV goggles making everything too bright for them thus rendering them useless?

flipper35 08-06-2014 10:37 AM

Magnesium flares would do that and make it bright enough to see without the NV. I wouldn't doubt there is one that operates in the near visible spectrum that whites out the IR and NV units but leaves your natural night vision intact.

Outback Porsche 08-06-2014 01:18 PM

Oh bugger! Morning has happened far too quickly. Someone should make the nights longer. :(

RKDinOKC 08-06-2014 01:25 PM

Up here in the northern hemisphere nights are getting a little longer every day. Has since June 21st, will until December 21st.

Some states have a problem with LHD, and some don't. Often it depends on the age of the vehicle.

RKDinOKC 08-06-2014 01:46 PM

You could emulate the Monarch Butterfly. They migrate from the souther hemisphere to the northern so it's alway summer for them.

flipper35 08-06-2014 01:53 PM

Jeff? Butterfly?

HHI944 08-06-2014 02:39 PM

If Jeff is a butterfly, I farking fabulous. ...

Hehe.....broke the heavy bag stand at the gym. Decided to mix my circuits up with a little basic krav.....elbow strike so hard the link holding the bag snapped....

RKDinOKC 08-06-2014 02:44 PM

Copy the migration patterns of, not flit around from flower to flower.

Though he may go around sticking his proboscis in things, I wouldn't know.

Rick V 08-06-2014 03:38 PM

Evening Y'all.
Glen if you never want to have to replace the fuel pump in the Elky again, install a Walboro. (spelled wrong). They are a tad noisy but never die
