We received a cool call from a customer. We flew a small job with just three shots for our client to do the volumetric calculations and mapping. Our client is the one man photogrammetry department at a survey company.

All the other surveyors figure Photogrammetry is just black magic or pure BS.

Anyway, he produced the files and the ground surveyors went and double checked his numbers. The project came back at 1/10 of a foot or better accuracy. Some of the points were down to splitting hairs. All the ground surveyors were amazed and awed. With our flight and his photogrammetry we did the entire job for much less cost and way faster than the ground pounders could have done it.
