The EGO blower uses a 56v 2amp battery. Their mower has a 56v 4amp battery that can be used on the blower if 2amps doesn't last long enough between charges.
If they made a curb edger with a metal blade like my STIL instead of just a line trimmer, would sell off all my gas mowing and trimming stuff and go all electric.

Well, I learnt a couple of things about 5hitbox hatchbacks yesterday, they are really economical (5L/100km) and that high density foam seats are not real comfortable. My arse is still protesting. Lots of walking today.

It was leg day at the gym yesterday.....on top of that, I had to be a friggin bigshot....buddy of mine who served in 1-75 made me two bets: The first was that I couldn't rip a steering wheel out of a car (I can) The other was that I couldn't run a sub 4 minute half mile in full rattle (Not only can I, I managed 3:09 on the treadmill (people in the gym were slightly scared at the sight of a 280lb guy in body armor running like a madman)) He owes me 2 beers, but my legs are really really unhappy with me

Who's car got the steering wheel ripped out?
I drive Porsches specifically because I can drive them for long trips without making my butt hurt. Volkswagon America bought a Passat back from me with 2500 miles on it because driving the car made my butt hurt.

Either one and or both.
I thought maybe you might have just picked a random car in the gym parking lot. Would have wanted to see a video of the reaction of the car's owner coming out to discover the steering wheel ripped out. Friend of mine bought a new KIA Soul and took it on a 2000 mile vacation road trip. 300 miles in both he and his wife were sitting on pillows. I would have taken the car back and got refunded if it made my butt hurt enough that I had to sit on a pillow only 300 miles into a road trip. And they were on smooth paved 4 lane highway.

That ain't good. Heck, even the Lotus was fairly comfortable for my 500 mile trip each way.

I have done over 900 miles in single day at least 6 times in my 911. Maybe more I don't remember after 19 years of ownership. No sore but at all. Those seats fit me fine.

Oh great, going to have to start using PayPal for buying on-line. VISA is now only paying for charges if your card is lost or stolen. If you report a false transaction within 2 days now you are liable for $50. If from 2 to 30 days you are liable for $500. After that liability is unlimited.
Me thinks there is going to be a huge rise in credit card fraud.

Once in awhile my back will act up and of all the cars we've owned, the 911--with its sport seats--has been by far the most comfortable.

On Top Gear Hugh Grant said he sold his Aston Martin and got a Porsche because the Aston Martin made his butt hurt and the Porsche didn't.
Love driving the 928 on long trips. It's like that's what it was built for.

I remember having the similar comments about the seats in Sharyn's Honda after a 300km day trip. I think I said something like, that was fun but you'd get real uncomfortable on a long journey. The 944 was no problem from Sydney to Alice (bout 3000km), and we've done several trips to the Rock and back (900km) in it with no issues. Then there's the Tojo, we're often gone for 10,000+kms and never an issue. Them little town buzz boxes are not up to the task. Prolly never really designed for anything more than short town trips and we're just asking too much of it.

Now that I think about it, I've taken the 911 on two looong drives. The first was the day I bought the car. Reno to Portland. Perfectly comfy (because no AC was needed :P). And another long drive when I moved: Portland to Palo Alto. Wish I had AC for that trip, as did my cat.

i've done several very long drives in my life. new york city to salt lake city in two days, for example, one stop for four hours at a rest stop to sleep.
in my 944, i've gone to portland in one day (and back in day) more than once. that is about 15 hours, IIRC. the only thing that was uncomfortable was my knee that kept resting against the side of the dashboard/console.

I've yet to find a car that I was really comfortable in for a long haul. Have done more 12+ hrs in my company cars than I care to count 1 durango, and 2 trailblazers. All made my back hurt. After an hour or more in about any car my lower back gets sore, no matter what kind of lumbar adjustment there is. For example we went down to Tucson tonight in thuys toyota minivan, top trim level and it still makes my back sore. I drove her dads new(to him) RV back, and it has big comfy looking chairs, still makes my back sore. |

When my butt nerves were aggravated by the Passat drove every new vehicle available for under $400 a month payment. Took three months of test driving cars, trucks, and vans. There were only three I could drive for longer than 15 minutes. The Volvo S40 and T5 (wagon version), the BMW 3 series with sport seats, and the Chevy Astro LTE (Luxury Touring Edition it had special bucket captains chairs).
It was interesting that cars and trucks with "big, overstuffed" luxury seating like Tahoe, Escalade, Crown Vic, and Dodge Magnum were the worst. Felt like I was sitting on a basket ball. One reason I was ready to get rid of the Rover is that I could drive it to the store or a doctors appointment, But if I drove it across town it would start making my butt hurt by the time I got home. Have taken a couple of long drives (over an hour) in the Cayenne without a hint of any problems. Have not had any butt problems driving any of the Porsches I've owned.
