Yup, nothing wrong with a comp m2, but the clarity of the ACOG is unbeatable.

Here's the reticle, I really like the green. Red is perfectly usable as well, but amber washes out far too easily.

Evening Y'all,
I decided long ago to not have anything on a spoon that needs batteries unless it was something I can do without. I be doin it old school

Rick V 10-13-2014 03:38 PM

Okay I have a request for anybody who is on Facebook. Stijn has a cat in the hunting dog photo contest again, do me a favor if you would be so kind, go to Fiocchi ammunition and look at the photo contest, like the page and throw a vote for the catmoflage kitty in his sniper hide.

RKDinOKC 10-13-2014 06:30 PM

Did not come up with anything for me, blank page except for logos and links.

GH85Carrera 10-14-2014 06:01 AM

I tried to vote on the Facebook page and it was just a blank page and logs as well.

I would vote for his cat but the facebook page does not work for me.

Good Tuesday morning folks.

RKDinOKC 10-14-2014 06:17 AM

Good Two's day Morning...

I believe that one is fiber optic as well. Most of the newer ones have batteries that last years and they turn off automatically when laid on their side for a certain amount of time.

That said, we use scopes or peep/aperture sights since we use our long spoons for hunting. The airsoft use battery powered reflex but you can still use iron for a backup. If I were Joe, I would just replace the battery when I did the smoke detectors.

RKDinOKC 10-14-2014 08:26 AM

Holy Crap Coincidence, just NOW as I walked by the smoke detector in my hallway beeped and said "Low Battery."

Had some kind of hot rod of the day red dot scope/sight thing on the Desert Eagle I got back when they only had either 357 or 44, and you had a choice of either black or black. Don't remember exactly what it was it's been so long ago. Traded the Desert Eagle and accessorites for a Macintosh IIfx computer when the fx was the new hot rod computer of the day. Only long range spoon I ever had was a bolt action 22. Not really much need for a scope to go plinkin with a 22.

Emily's 30-30 came with a scope. We pulled that and put a Skinner aperture sight on it. The first day she used it she was hitting the 10 ring. Much easier than normal open sights.

The scope is going on a Model 700 that I am pretty sure the scope is bad on because I have yet to see one that shoots an eight inch group at 100 yards. If the scope doesn't fix it, I will have a .270 for sale cheap with the original Tasco scope.

GH85Carrera 10-14-2014 11:20 AM

Yawn,

Whew, that was a good after lunch nap.

flipper35 10-14-2014 11:33 AM

Do you have a hammock at work or jut use your office chair?

RKDinOKC 10-14-2014 03:29 PM

Is it still called a nap if you make it all they way to a bed?

Rick V 10-14-2014 03:33 PM

Evening Y'all,
Would someone please turn off the rain, I haven't seen the sun for a week now and I am one of those people that it effects. I get very moodier than normal when I am deprived of sunshine.

RKDinOKC 10-14-2014 04:06 PM

Have a BIL that has a light for that. Simulated sunshine.

GH85Carrera 10-14-2014 04:45 PM

The sunshine is here. It will arrive at your place tomorrow.

The ACOG is fiber optic and tritium.
the newer red dots are pretty impressive. The shortest battery life I've heard of for the aimpoint T1 is 3 years at maximum brightness constantly....typical is supposed to be around 5. My comp m2 blew through a $10 battery on ~8 months, constant on at about setting 7 of 9

Please send it Glen, the fate of the state of Va hangs in the balance

Gmorning all. I'm up at odarkthirty at the airport again, heading to Singapore. Anyone been?

Holger 10-15-2014 04:30 AM

Yup, my favourite country/town! Would love to visit again!
How long will you stay?

GH85Carrera 10-15-2014 05:06 AM

The Singapore F1 race is on my bucket list. I would love to visit the place. This time of year I suspect it will still be very hot. Have fun.
