Townsville had a beautifully manicured sandy beach when I was there. I was there for a month or so in the winter (June, I think)...and the weather was perfect. It is probably too hot there in the summer (winter here), as it is pretty tropical and somewhat prone to drought (or so I understand).

I am planning a long vacation there after I retire because my wife has never been. First Sydney for a day or two and then Townsville for a few weeks. Probably in June or July. Not sure where else to go...except the Billabong to view some of the wildlife.

Just a vent but I really wish the D.O.D. would get off their collective rear ends and issue the title for this truck, I really want to put some miles on her. It will look great parked in the lot at the local gun shop

I lived in Townsville as a young tacker back in the 60's (no that I remember much of it). We're planning a trip across one year to watch the Ozzie V8's. We'll have a bit of a gander about then.

And if you're coming all the way to Oz, you gotta include a trip to the rock. Not that far out of your way then to pay us a visit ;)

Mrs. Carrera went to the local NBA game last night. When she was telling me the circumstances of how she was getting a pair of tickets I was thinking, aw man I don't want to go waste an entire evening watching a bunch of overgrown men playing a game with their overgrown balls. Then she told me she was going with one of the ladies she works with. SCORE!

Golly I was disappointed that I did not "get" to go.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee....This morning the consultants farkled Active Directory. Nobody can log into ANYTHING! Those guys are really making points all over the place.

I must say they have done a fantastic job of making me look like a savant.

My boss, who has owned our company for 15 years, just walked in, looks me in the face and asks, "What's our value proposition?"

She passed in her home with her son and not some strange facility. She did well raising her son.
