When going thru my foot thing the pain meds DID NOT offset the antibiotics laxitive effect. Had to do an Imodium with every antibiotic pill. Still poppin pro-biotics from that experience.

I must be losing it...just spent almost an hour on the phone hassling one of those web site hijackers lock up your browser and tell you there is a virus on your computer and they will remove if you call their number. The page won't close and they are holding your broswser for ransom. Called and they said they had remote access to my computer and Explorer had contracted a virus. Really?

Asked how they knew, said they are part of the microsoft central registry. Then i tried to get them to fix it before I paid, since they had locked it up. They said the virus locked it up. I asked they why is their phone number on the locked up screen with the virus on it. Back to saying they were a part of the Microsoft security team.

Got down to my credit card number and I gave a bunch of random numbers. They took my random numbers 3 times before getting upset with me. Then I told them if they could lie about my computer being windows and my browser being explorer, I could make up credit card numbers right? Then laughed as THEY hung up.

They wanted to charge me $79 for landing on their web site.

I just had a phone call from company that wants to lend our business money because we have a great DUNs rating. I said that is weird, we are in the business of loaning money and asked what rate they charge since we are getting 25% interest on the loans we make. The bastage just hung up.

The nerve of these nice people hanging up on you guys. You all should be ashamed to treat those people trying to help you out in such a way. I mean, if you guys get to them first I won't have a chance to play with them and that is just selfish. :)

I don't think you can have too much dinnerware. Even if there are duplicates. I am sure everyone has more than one 1/2 in socket or wrench.

My wife sent me a link to a shirt she thought was appropriate for me. It says "I don't have an anger problem, I have an idiot problem".

Sad thing is, how many senior citizens fall for that and fork over the $79 ?

Similar thieves called my Mom, told her they were calling from Social Security and they needed to verify her information for her to continue receiving her check. Had to change banks 3 times to get rid of them. They would start charging her new credit cards before they were even activated.

Tried to get them prosecuted but they were out of country.

Whoa! What's going on with gas prices?

I filled up my truck Sunday for 2.09 a gallon 87.

Today I took wife's van to get gas for her and it's 2.47 a gallon! She had to work 3rd shift again last night to deal with employees who can't get along so she's sleeping now. Trying to do things that are quiet.

We got the license plate renewal paperwork for the Odyssey and 911 today.

911-$63.00
Odyssey-$123.00

It IS cheaper to drive a 911. :D

RKDinOKC 03-19-2015 10:21 AM

They are trying to keep the US Oil industry from crashing? According to gasbuddy.com prices are still dropping.

flipper35 03-19-2015 10:38 AM

Tags are the same for all regular cars here but for hobbyist or collectable they are a one time fee. The hobbyist cars are not legal to drive in January. I don't mind since a topless car with wide tires isn't practical in January when it is -20*.

In our case, if you have the car more than 3 year it is cheaper for the Porsche or Cobra as far as tags and insurance goes.

Michigan is just trying to tell you to drive the 911 and park the Odyssey. Why aren't you listening? :p

In my younger days, I used to bomb around the back roads of northern NY in an MG Midget. Winter be damned! :D

GH85Carrera 03-19-2015 10:53 AM

The tags for both of my vehicles is $23 each per year.

Given that I have a car with a roof and heater I don't mind. I have driven it in the snow a few times. If the road is clear and the temps aren't bad it can be fun. Spinning the tires at 50mph in 4th gear because of snow is not fun.

Jim Richards 03-19-2015 10:59 AM

That's not a problem (or even an option) in a MG Midget.

flipper35 03-19-2015 11:39 AM

I would not have gone that night except a friend of mom's was up from Oklahoma and wanted a ride. Had it been daytime i could have at least enjoyed the snow flurries from the exhaust pipes. Oh, evidently spinning was not an option for me either, it was mandatory it seems any time you touched the gas.

GH85Carrera 03-19-2015 11:51 AM

Back in the "good ol days" when I could get summer performance tires for my 911 I had to drive it once in the winter time. It was not icy, just a little wet and it was scary. Now I have all season tires and it does not matter if it is cold. I have no intention of ever driving it if the roads have salt on them.

flipper35 03-19-2015 12:48 PM

The newer ones are probably OK with salt if you bath it good afterwards. I don't know if the older ones would stay in one piece long enough to get home. OK, they aren't quite that bad.

We have Eagle LS tires on the new car and they are absolutely worthless if it is cool, wet, or snowy. In other words, perfect for Wisconsin.

RKDinOKC 03-19-2015 01:14 PM

Well maybe I don't need those twin turbos...went out bombing around in 928 in just the damp weather this afternoon and I had to be very careful with the go pedal or it was tire spin city.

flipper35 03-19-2015 01:51 PM

You just need some stickier tires. Rain tires from the Trans-Am series or some McCreary tires should do.
