One of the previous owners of my 928 GTS just emailed me that he wants to buy my car. Told him I was not really looking to sell it, but there is an insane price that could not refuse. He asked what that price was so I told him $80K.

Haggarty currently values it at $62K as a condition 2 car.
A nice automatic GTS with fresh paint and custom interior and wheels just came up for sale asking $58K.
5 speeds are getting about 8 to 10K more than autos.

Just got off the phone with a fellow Pelican walking him through adjusting his shift coupler. I think we got it right even though we are 1500 miles apart. Been kind of a crappy week. It feels good to help someone out.

It is a tricky adjustment to get perfect.

My original coupler just fell to pieces on day on the way home. I replaced it with a nice new coupler that is more precise than the OEM. It took a few tries to get it to go into first easily and come out of 5th without fighting the lockout.

I had to change the bushings also "while I was in there"

I've had my beard for 4 years now, thuy has only seen pictures of me without it. I don't have any plan to shave it! I do trim my neck around around my beard daily so I always have a nice clean cut look.

I grew the beard because when I shaved regularly I always had trouble with ingrown hairs. Now that I've started using a DE safety razor, shave soap, and a brush that problem is pretty much gone. But the beard stays!

It also helps me look a touch older. I look about 12 without facial hair!

Oh goodness, the previous owner just offered me $70K for the GTS.

Richard, it looks as though your outrageous price wasn't outrageous enough.

Im actually hoping I never get into this "tell me your outrageous price" scenario. Someone wants to buy something you don't want to part with, give them a crazy number, they say "ok" then you feel like you should have asked for more.

The problem with giving a price nobody in their right mind would buy it for is that somebody not in their right mind will buy it.
