Lol I actually had a elky before the 944. Granted it was a steaming pile that barely ran, but it was a nelly dammit!
That is one slick ride! I'd love to have one if money were no object. But I have to find a place to park it now and that'd be a pain. Plus it's WAY too nice to actually use! |
Thuy would let me have it, she's not worried about girls throwing themselves at me. I'm too dense to notice most of the time!
That thing has to be close to us. Looks like the lakes at the neighborhood near us in the background. |
Why does this make me think of Jeff? http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15...593ab68458.jpg

Good delusional Friday morning folks. |
That Elky would be just what I'd like to have. I'd get rid of my Mazda pickup and drive that thing all the time. Probably need to hire a body guard to keep the hot babes from overwhelming me. :)

morning all. we hit 70 yesterday. today mid 60's. spring has sprung I can't go outside without a sneezing fit.
|
It's snowing here. High of only 30 today. Typical for Michigan spring time. Next week is supposed to be warmer. We did have a good rain this week so the roads were cleared most of the dirt and junk.
|
Yeah saw on the news the east is expected to get hit again.

10 years ago I was a miscreant if I had a big unkempt beard. Now everyone thinks Duck Dynasty. Well...except for my SIL she thinks I look like a homeless bum because everyone that is not all clean shaven and in a suit has no class.

be who you want to be not what everyone thinks you should be.

I get scruffy because I am too lazy to shave, then it gets itchy and I have to shave. My scruff doesn't grow very fast so I only shave once or twice a week. |
nicer cars and better looking women!

I got past the itchy part in my 20's and have had a beard ever since.
Until the use of gas masks in WWI most men had facial hair. Just look at old pictures. The military required a clean shaven face so gas masks would seal. With the introduction of the safety razor, the public took up this look to support the military. That is also why facial hair became a symbol of rebellion. Just look at the anti war bearded hippy thing. This facial hair stigma has taken a very long time to die out, literally with the generation of WWII veterans. It was very common for men to only go to the barbershop just once a week to get a shave. Typically on a Saturday. Also, bathing once a day only started in the late 70's. Until then it was once a week at most, also on Saturday. Such that it is, a reality show has made facial hair once again more socially acceptable. It is not uncommon when I'm out in public and have womans I don't even know tell me they like my beard. Only one person in the IT department where I work does not have a beard, and he shaves everything except his eyebrows. There are no womens working in the IT department. There was a time when I was the only person in IT with a beard. This has only changed in the last 3 years. |
Richard, as slow as mine grows I don't think I have enough lifetime left to grow one like yours.
My wife doesn't care for them either so we are both happy. |
When my brother moved back to town after getting out of the Marines he was offered a job in sales in the family business. My other brother was already in management. Other brother's WIFE (founder's daughter and major stock holder) told my brother to work at the company he would have to shave his beard. He asked her if she liked beards and she immediately replied with a resounding "No!" He calmly told her he suggested SHE didn't grow one, and refused the job.
All of the men in our family have or have had beards except for that one brother who's wife does not like beards. And my granddad on my Mom's side was the town barber. |
I have had my beard so long I can't imagine having a naked face. Eewwww.
It takes a lot of time and effort to coat each and every individual hair in my beard with anodized aluminum. And that is a lot harder to spell and say so I just call it chrome! |
