About time to actually drive to the office for the conference call meeting. Hope consultants don't fumble around for 2 hours again.

ok so talk to me about core charges. I am looking at rebuilt rear calipers for the 911 from here. Its $100 core that you get back once you send in the old parts and they determine if they are able to rebuild them.

Sounds to easy for them to keep the core and the $100.

Last year I exchanged an inertial reference unit for a Challenger jet corporate aircraft, the core charge exposure was $487000 USD. It was a tense 60 days waiting to find out if the core was rebuildable....

porsche4life 03-26-2015 10:59 AM

Holy ****! How much did the new one cost if the core was a half million dollars?

Porsche-poor 03-26-2015 11:10 AM

More than I want to gamble with.

They frown on that when done with an air rifle......first hand experience here.....gotta think they'd really frown on it with a real boom stick

The exchange was 78K if I recall correctly, so an outright would be approximately $550000 USD.
They have a 44000 overhaul allowance built in, if you exceed that they call your core BER and you owe them the balance.

flipper35 03-26-2015 02:25 PM

Well a pellet can ricochet off the ball. A powder burning spoon wouldn't have that issue.

I can't touch that, BUT...

We just did an engine swap with a fresh re-manufactured engine for our C-206. The engine was running just fine when we took it off but it was already over TBO. The core charge refund check would have paid for my entire 911 engine build with a lot of room to spare.

Evening Y'all
Well lets see, Mr. Polite from yesterday came in to apologize today, that shocked me.
16.000 bridge? Pfffffft I have a truck sitting in my driveway that weighs more than that.
When Beth and I were taking the failed trip to Tucson back in Jan we each had two separate weather apps on our phones so we had four total running, it was funny when they would go off, all at the same time, it was a circus

Porsche-poor 03-26-2015 03:57 PM

yeah but that truck is better for your health.

Off for home see ya laters.

RKDinOKC 03-26-2015 04:43 PM

Just got home from meeting. Went into meeting with 2 issues that prevented migration. Left with 5 total issues including the first 2 AND one user's email all deleted. Seems it was a good idea I suggested the user archive their email before we started their migration. Now THAT'S productivity.

It's officially mud season.........my sister took this pic. yesterday.
It's a little warmer where she lives but it's just 12 miles from here.
My driveway is about half snow and half mud.

Oh Haha 03-26-2015 06:21 PM

Grrrrrrrrr

Have any of you noticed that commercials are getting back to being louder than the program?

It doesn't seem to be 1 station, either. ****** idiots...

Been a long day. Just venting.

My gun nut buddy has a threaded golf ball adapter for the end of his AR. Twist that on stuff a golf ball in and load up a blank. Pretty sure you could turn a par 5 into a single shot hole with that thing

RKDinOKC 03-26-2015 06:59 PM

I've heard of skeet shooting, is that where you go shoot golf balls as they fly down the fairway?

Jim Richards 03-26-2015 07:04 PM

Sid, here's your chance to dive headfirst in to the awesome world of El Camino ownership! 350/4-Speed: 1967 Chevrolet El Camino | Bring a Trailer

If only I were there...

Holy cow, Pete, that mud really looks like a crappy way to wrap up a long harsh winter!

GH85Carrera 03-26-2015 07:16 PM

Tweze would never allow Sid to have that Elky. He woul be like James Bond cool and the ladies would be chasing him down.

It takes stamina and lots of will power to fight off the young hotties and coeds. It gets tiring being a sex symbol. I don't think he could handle it. I was in my 30s before I could handle the pressure of all the women.

HHI944 03-26-2015 07:28 PM

I wish the mail man would hurry up and get my new sharp, pointy toy here.......

So, light leg day today.....only pushed a total of 84,000lbs.
