Good Morning Everyone.

More rain last night. Another 1/2 inch. That is over 7 inches this month. More to add to the record wettest year ever on record. All of the local water supply lakes are almost back to full capacity. Only Canton lake is 14 feet low but it is rising. It should be full soon as well. The cool thing about Canton is we flew a monthly construction project of an additional spillway but that contract was just for the concrete work. I did not get to see how they were going to connect it to the lake. We got the contract last week from the next company to fly the next phase. I am sure the final customer is the Corps of Engineers. We don't have to deal with them. :D

The entire 18 months they took to build the spillway it never had any real rain. The site was almost always completely dry. Now the lake is filling up and we can watch the work to see how they connect the new spillway. Right now it is a massive concrete spillway next to lake and not connected.

Well, att claims we didn't pay our bill. No warning, just shut us off. Our account automatically charges a credit card, plus we have enough credit on account to pay for 2 months of email service? Hmm. What a fantastic service provider for something as critical in today's business world as email!

My opinion is that we would have been ahead to do our own server and drive space.

Next door neighbor croaked a few weeks back (90+), Estate Sale today.

You'd think they're giving away piles of cash since 7:30 this morning...unreal

RKDinOKC 05-14-2015 07:38 AM

Wondering if I should do that with Mom's stuff that my sisters left me with. Idiots trashed all her clothes and most of her costume jewelry. Putting all the stuff together and pricing it sure takes a lot of time though.

911SauCy 05-14-2015 07:54 AM

It's likely the best way to get stuff out without throwing it out.

Looks like she had a few kids (60+) who are just kind of manning the joint. They didn't put physical prices on stuff, they're going at it haggling.

I personally like the approach

Thinkin Steak and Catfish Barn sounds good fer lunching today.

Very lazy day for me with the mail server licensing all farkled.

RKDinOKC 05-14-2015 10:47 AM

Well, it's been 5 hours and they still haven't gotten our licensing straightened out. Ah yes, let us move our exchange services to the cloud, AND let us use att. Our email guy doesn't know what he's talking about when he says don't do it and don't use att if you do.

If you leave AT&T alone and don't change anything they seem to do OK with doing just what they were doing before. If you use the C - word (change) all bets are off. I still have nightmares of opening my cell phone bill and it was HOW MUCH???

It took me over a year and a analog letter to the AT&T headquarters to get the morons to understand how they were screwing up. Not one of the people on the phone support line could figure it out.

I really don't understand Savannah.....friggin dirty hippies who can't figure out why their $150k art degree won't even get them a job at McDonalds......and they're everywhere!!

They are everywhere because they can't get a job.

Ah yes, the cloud. Nothing every goes wrong with the cloud, the cloud is there and everywhere and just is. The only good thing I know for sure about the cloud is that is it good for making money off of other people.

HHI944 05-14-2015 11:39 AM

They can't get a job because they wasted their parents money on art school. Their 'problems' are creations of their own ridiculous, delusional fantasyland and excessive parentel coddling.

Sorry, I just really hate dirty art school hippies sometimes...

Whatever you do, don't go to Austin. They are either hippies, or telephone grade techs.

flipper35 05-14-2015 12:28 PM

When my wife graduated college the state senator gave a speech on how the new project coming through was going to give them all jobs. Two problems I saw right away was that it was construction work coming through and almost half were liberal arts majors and weren't qualified to be a flagman.

flipper35 05-14-2015 12:30 PM

Richard, I get to Austin every year for a tech conference. I don't meet many people from Austin but the food is pretty good.

HHI944 05-14-2015 12:38 PM

And Hugh Jackman.... I hat that SOB too.

Right now, there is water, falling out of the sky and landing on the ground. In So Cal.
It is getting things very wet and filling deep spots where the water gathers.

I sheet you not. I should get a picture of this, no one is going to believe it.

I can't imagine what this will do to the traffic on the drive home this afternoon.

Going out to eat here there is almost always a craft beer on tap. We have several breweries nearby that have good hefes

Round here blue moon is popular with younger girls.
I tried one once, it was like beer schnapps.

I was talking about trying the blue moon, not the younger girl.

For me it's corona or coors light but I don't have anyone to impress.

I know that feeling.

We had a dry year last two years years and then this year is the wettest ever on record. I hope California gets a good dousing. Of course too much will cause mudslides.
