GH85Carrera 05-20-2015 07:26 AM

Hey, any morning that you can get out of bed and get dressed by yourself is a GREAT day.

He-he he-he. Giggle, snort.

We just received an email from a regular client. A recent job we bid on our client did not get the contract with the end user. Some other company low-balled the quote and promised unicorns dancing with bigfoot and rainbows everywhere. They delivered a big pile of pig crap. Giggle.

Now that end client is pissed and way behind and on the project and they want us to do magic. We can do that but the price goes up for us to do magic. It has been raining all week and the rain is not supposed to quit until next week. We have regular loyal customer jobs lined up and they are getting done first.

We really really feel bad about the way thing turned out for the cheap bastards.

I am not a morning person and I have red hair. You can imagine how cheerful my mornings are. There are two things that make mornings manageable. Fishing and hunting. Well there is one more...

That said, the longer I get to go each morning without talking to people the better it gets.

Richard, if you need to use lightning to start your grill, maybe you should get a new one. How big is that thing?

I'd be jumpy to.

That feeling...when you send your boss a preventative email at 6:50am...about a call at 8am...only to get a response at 8:50am with him asking you about a company that doesn't exist...

Roy Sullivan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sullivan was hit 7 times. Seven times! and survived them all. Read the section on the article called Seven Strikes and try not to giggle. It is sad that he carried a bucket of water with him and used it put out his hair AGAIN!

I would have shaved my head and worn Nomex in the field. Dang he had some nerve ticking off Thor.

RKDinOKC 05-20-2015 09:11 AM

The thunder from that lightning flash when lighting the grill was the loudest I've ever heard. Pepper was anxiously waiting at the door and after we went back in she ran all around the house then stuck to me like glue until the thunder got quieter.

My first golden, Penny would disappear when it started storming really loudly. Would find her laying in the bathtub. She was a very smart dog. My last golden, Camber would take a few steps towards the thunder and bark at it. She was not a smart dog.

Porsche-poor 05-20-2015 09:14 AM

I want to hide under the covers right now.

GH85Carrera 05-20-2015 09:32 AM

As a kid we were hiding from the lightning and rain in a shelter on the golf course. The lightning hit the rod on the top of the open building. Our hair stood on end then loudest thing I ever heard and a brilliant flash of light. We were all stunned mentally but not hurt at all. The lightning rod was melted. We would likely be dead if we had not been in the shelter.

Porsche-poor 05-20-2015 09:38 AM

or you just might point north all the time.

RKDinOKC 05-20-2015 11:19 AM

If you point north for longer than 4 hours, you should contact your doctor.
