Sitting in The Ronald McDonald house, at the children's hospital, in Pittsburgh, sipping coffee and surfing the web. Yesterday was fun, worked for 11 hours, went home took a shower and drove for 6 hours. I was starting to have to close one eye to be able to focus the last few miles. I am getting way too old for this marathon crap, but gotta see the grandson yanno.

I found beef jerky is THE BEST for those occasions you really need to stay awake. Learned it in my younger days trying to keep up with a manic depressive friend that only slept 3 hours a day.

Okay, sunday morning, and I am still hating Pittsburgh. I have come to the conclusion that this is where they farm potholed for distribution to the rest of the N.E. (it has been a rather good growing season)
While waiting for the pack of lazy people to get out of bed (the family) I decided to walk the huuuuuuuuuuuge cemetery that is next to the hospital. It simply amazes me how disrespectful people are in this world. My leasurly walk looking for the oldest headstone, turned into righting American flags on vets graves and picking up bottles and cans that people have decided they would just drop. Show some respect people, take your trash with you. again, I really hate this place.

My niece went parking in the local cemetery in HS. Married the guy. He was going to be a pharmacist. Ended up working at then owning the funeral home in Rolla, MO. He passed. She sold it but still works there. She recently got re-married. One of the other funeral home employees. And no, she is not into goth.
