When Neil did his first step it was prime time for us. We ate dinner and all walked into the den to watch TV after dinner.

The moon bug chamber they were in was on a Navy ship of course. They docked at the Navy side on Pearl Harbor. They just rolled onto Hickam AFB and rolled right onto the hangar and loaded up in the airplane that hauled them back to Houston.

What a horrid day. *vent time*
I get a subi towed in from Northern Va. it had a broken timing belt and the owner did not trust the shop it was towed to up there to fix it. It wiped out 12 of the 16 valves so I gave them the option of replacing all of them or just doing 16 of them.
Whoever started tearing the car apart up there broke more stuff than they removed so I had to do a ton of repair crapola besides rebuilding the heads.
I fire it up this afternoon, smokes a little but that is normal, sounds great, purrs like a kitten, time for a test drive.
I put a couple of miles on it then put the gas pedal into the firewall and the bottom end let go.
I just spent 1.5 days doing nothing more than cleaning up the engine I have to pull out.
At least it's friday evening and my shoes are off, until I put them back on to go hiking, I'm not feeling that tonight but if I am gonna make Beth go I guess I gotta as well.
I am starting the CashFlyer/RickV bail money fund, I have a feeling tomorrow could get interesting

It is official our first 100+ degree day. It hit 102 today. We walked across a black parking lot and it was silly hot. 110 heat index. Sure glad AC works great. The El Camino was blowing 40 degree air and the house is nice and cool.

We haven't hot 100 yet this year, we have come close and with the indexes gone past it multiple times but not the actual tripples

They are predicting just two more days of 100 and then a drop to under 100 for likely the rest of the year.

Today looks like 85 sunny and moist.

Yes, I'm a party animal. I packed the beater Jetta with stuff for Goodwill, and we've tossed a lot of stuff out as well. My wife thinks it's OK to do spring cleaning in August. Me, not so much.

10:30am and it's already 90°F.

rainy here today. Wife and daughter are off getting their hair cut. I made the dessert for the family reunion tomorrow and then sat down and watched episodes of That Metal Show which will continue until dinner time.

I took the kids to a local carnival that raises money for our fire dept. Wow, I forgot what kind of weird folk come out at these things.

Going to my side of the family's reunion today. My mom is the last child left of her family of 9.
