The restaurant thread had me thinking. We ate at the Dogg Haus for something a little lighter. It was pretty bad. My wife had an Italian beef that was supposed to be dipped. They dipped about 1/2" and it was pretty dry. Someone that got theirs just after hours told the person that they ordered the sandwich dipped and the cook said it was dipped and so the argument began at that table. Nobody liked their food.

Evening Y'll

Evening Rick. How's it hanging.

I try to NOT tell anyone I like something at a restaurant. If I do, they either take it off the menu or close the restaurant.

I really like McDonald's french fries, ha ha, ha.

Just saw that Floyd Mayweather just bought a Koenigsegg Trevita for 4.8 Million. He made 300 Miliion for his last fight against Manny. For comparison at my salary that would be like me spending $1200 on a car.

Funny, I figured it was just me.

Old El Paso used to make Gordita kits with 2 dressings, 1 ranch(eww) and 1 red tangy sauce(yum).

My wife and I really dug the kits until 1 time they discontinued the red sauce that I liked. Bastards! I wrote an email and got a standard corporate response. "We found that consumers preferred the ranch sauce so we only offer that to save costs." Well no one asked me!!

Within six months of that the Gordita kits were no longer available anywhere.

Recently, Campbells brought out a soup/marinade gravy substance that we dig. I use it for pork, meatballs, and chicken dishes. On the shelf yesterday in the "discontinued" section. I bought all 5 they had.

Buy up all the Bumblebee Tuna Salad. The shelf space is getting smaller and the Starkist tuna salad space is getting bigger. The StarKist pre-made tuna salad sucks. The bumblebee stuff is really good and makes a fantastic tuna salad sandwich.

When i was buying Ensure for my Mom she really like the Vanilla, versus chocolate, butterscoth, or strawberry. They were almost always out of the vanilla. Talking to other shoppers and the check out ladies and found most all the elderly like the vanilla much better. Yet is has the smallest shelf space and they are always out. Talked to the Rep for Ensure and it didn't change anything. I even called the store manger and specifically ordered a 4 cases of the stuff. He said it was no problem that he did that kind of thing for his couponers all the time, but...it never came in.

A pretty little courtyard on one side of the apartment

But wait...

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1440486688.jpg

There's a pub on the other side, woohoo!

Jim Richards 08-25-2015 03:24 AM

Hahaha! I'm surprised you even saw the courtyard, Jeff. :)

RKDinOKC 08-25-2015 04:22 AM

Good morning.

That little balcony looks like a good place to pee from if the wc is busy.

Outback Porsche 08-25-2015 04:25 AM

LOL Jim :D

Spent an hour this arvo working after checking in, then...the pub was calling me. ;)

Ducked in for a bevvy or three and a beef schnitzel with the rest of the team. Had to call it quits after a couple of hours or tomorrow could be ugly.

I can only blame myself if the loo is busy (or too nasty to visit :D). But, then again, look out below :D

GH85Carrera 08-25-2015 05:42 AM

Good Tuesday morning folks.

flipper35 08-25-2015 08:20 AM

Well, it is Tuesday. Not sure how good it is. A contractor is dropping new cables for an emergency pendant system and while putting a new punch down panel on the fiber connection into the switch broke. He says he didn't do it (of course) but I don't know how else it would have been broken since everything stopped working in that building when he was down there. We didn't even ask him to put a panel in. This is a long cable that nobody in town has. Bastage.

Jim Richards 08-25-2015 08:29 AM

The old glued-down engineered-wood flooring is being ripped out of our condo now. Maybe tomorrow they start laying the new floor.

GH85Carrera 08-25-2015 08:29 AM

It is ironic that we don't use fiber optics cable for our internet connection. We have two different companies with fiber just two feet from our building. Bringing in into the building would be a snap. We will stick with the local cable company.

flipper-what's an emergency pendant system?

Necklaces drop down from the ceiling in case of emergency? :)

That sounds like what I imagined. :)

RKDinOKC 08-25-2015 10:06 AM

Around here the emergency pendant system is that necklace thing where the old lady says "Help, I've fallen and can't get up!"
