Those break too. ;)

I was going to buy one awhile back but the market was already going crazy. Glad I didn't now or I wouldn't have been able to make the career jump I did.

I must have a anomaly.. :D

Does it hurt? I'd get a second opinion. :D

Ok, so tried unhooking the temp sensor. Still no start...

I decided to pull the throttle body off to try and clean and test the TPS. Pulled off the JBoot and a good deal of gas came out. Uhhhh..... Pulled off the throttle body and the intake is full of gas. That can't be good.

Tested the TPS with an ohm meter. It doesn't read a damn thing until you hit about 3/4 throttle.

Ok so spark, fuel and air. You have spark and fuel maybe there is a lack of air there. ;).

We got up early and went to breakfast and got home early enough to wash both cars in the shade of the house before the sun got to high. It was pretty cool and nice out there.
As I was finishing up Mrs Carrera said the pond was not pumping over the waterfall. So I pulled the pump and cleaned the filters. For some strange reason the ground fault had popped. I reset it and all is fine now.
As I was cleaning up I noticed the toilet was running and opener the tank and the fill valve has split and just running. So that is the next thing is I "get" to play plumber. Oh goodie.

Hey did,
How long did it take you to require the bug?
Is this something I could knock out in a weekend with an extra set of hands and a few beers?

porsche4life 08-30-2015 09:43 AM

Like I said, took maybe two evenings. I had more trouble chasing down why the blinkers didn't work. Ended up being a bad switch. Other than it was easy. But like I said, with the bug I had tons of directions with the harness, the Bentley manual, and Muir book.

Golly toilet flush valve work is fun. Lots of laughs and giggles.

porsche4life 08-30-2015 11:12 AM

Just be glad it wasn't a wax ring glen. ;)

Outback Porsche 08-30-2015 01:18 PM

I don't think there could be anything worse than waxing your ring

C'mon, how do you suppress a giggle when you've got a plumber telling you about a leaky ballcock?

Came across this Jalopnik article on how cheap F360s have become: Get Your Bank Account Ready, The Ferrari 360 Has Become Ridiculously Cheap

Just asked little Noah if he would be interested in trading the 930 for one of these (he's been a Tifosi since he could speak)...and he said no!

Yea, my plumber is a real smart, suave, debonair, good looking, sexy, and above all modest fellow that has never charged me a penny. He has cost me a lot when he screws up. I have to go buy parts and he cusses a lot. Sometimes I wonder if he knows what he is doing.

Jim Richards 08-30-2015 04:00 PM

Noah's a smart guy!

slodave 08-30-2015 04:12 PM

Can't stand it when the plumber touches my leaky ballcock - unless she's way cute...

Can't wait til the end of September. 7 days of 16 hour training and a bunch of paperwork and I'll be one big step closer to where I want to be.
