I hate those too, but they are necessary with a domain. We don't have them at home.

No chairs at the airport?
Just go stand in front of a good chair and rip off a cheek flapping fart and when the seats open up sit down. A good SBD will work but with less fanfare.

Make sure you mention to yourself that it felt wet when you do it then they won't ask for the seat back either.

Well Last week I did an engine for a guy that owns a killer top shelf bakery and today he showed up with a dark chocolate salted caramel cake. OMFG that thing was awesome

Nice ballet shoes as well!
Good Saturday morning. I seem to suddenly have a list of projects that Mrs Carrera has thought up. Oh joy.

But isn't she the retired one, with all sorts of free time?

Yep, free time to think up projects. She asked for some help painting the address numbers on the curb but the driveway. I ended up doing it all.
The big project for the day was partly my own doing. The amp in my office is at least 25 years old. It is dying. She has hated the amp in the living room for various reasons. We ended up splitting the cost of a new amp for the living room that is all Apple friendly and the iPhone or iPad will run it, it is way easier to set up. So step one was rip apart the old sound system and put in the new sound system. Get the surround speakers calibrated, and everything running through the Tivo remote. Then I get to go to my office and do it again. The Pioneer amp that I now get is huge. To get it into the entertainment system at all I had to pull the entire unit away from the wall and take the back of the entertainment system apart just to slide the unit in place. It is there forever. Next step is hook up the components and get it back on the wifi network. It has a very poor app but it does help more than the goofy remote. Back to it!

What brand of receiver did you get? I went with a Sony instead of Pioneer when my newer Pioneer died. The local TV stereo shop said they have had a lot of trouble with the newer Pioneer stuff. The only thing I use my amp for is playing the TV output as 5.1 surround sound thru my speakers. If I could have found just a surround processor amp that wasn't thousands of dollars I would have gotten that instead of a Receiver. Use my Sony Bravia TV to do all the source switching, The Bravia TV also does most the stuff an AppleTV does like netflix and pay per view. It also supports airplay. It even has it's own web browser but that is very slow and cumbersome.
Just wish my company provided laptop was 1 interation newer so It could output video to the TV and not just sound. Interested to see what kind of apps and games the new AppleTV will have and how good it does at them.

The new Apple TV looks pretty cool. I'll probably get one when they hit the market.
The rest of the Apple show was fairly unimpressive to me. |
