David, they have been working on contacts with a screen built in for years. I always wondered if you could see them with your eyes closed. Last i heard they could do the equivalent of 800x600. Enough for text I guess. Or a link from your smart watch.

I'll pass but thanks.

Just tell your boss you have them and are adjusting the contrast.

It's technically called "checking eyelids for pinholes." The associated zzzz noises are trying vibrations to see if they cause pinholes.

Holy crap. They estimate $60K to move us from our att hosted exchange on-line to another hosted exchange on-line and it will take 2 months.
|
once they have you online its one fee after another.
|
That's $100 per email account!
|
yeah but its cool to be in the cloud........
|
Think they are just blowing smoke and calling it a cloud.
|
But the cloud is magical! There is no place like the cloud. The cloud will free you from your worries, nothing bad happens there.
OK, where is the green font thing... |

We had a client that flies with a drone. He had a project he hired us to fly since it was orders of magnitude bigger (in square miles) that could ever be flown with his quadcopter.
He kept asking if we were going to "cloud it up" or use the cloud at all. We kept telling him we do it ourselves and we do. We told him clouds are not a good thing with aerials. |
People with small things don't realize just how slow cloud access is.
Have iCloud and use it for settings backup, iMatch, and Continuity but not data backup. Like the idea of the time capsule backup and use it to backup my laptop files to my server, and it is great for getting back a file or two I may have changed incorrectly or deleted, but a 21 hours to make the initial backup just don't think it is a real option to restore from a crash. That's why i still do bootable backups to a local drive. If my drive crashes, just plug in the backup drive, boot and go. Do the same with my servers. |
Evening Y'all,
Made it through tuesday and so looking forward to the weekend, this has been a very long week already. I have decided that I am going to win the 1.5 billion dollar lottery so I can have nothing but weekends, now if the lottery folks will just stop picking the wrong numbers......... |

Get a financial attorney. And get the money as anonymously as possible.
Don't take the lump sum. Just because you got money does not make you a savvy investor. Odds are you won't do any better than they do to pay you. And banks don't insure anything over $100K anyway. Just live off the payout for the rest of your life. Don't feel you have to give anyone else any. Any amount won't be enough and they will resent and be pissed at you anyway. That's the best way to avoid the pitfalls of those that have won the lottery and spent/lost it all. If you take a lump sum to build a big house remember that Bill Gates house cost $136 Million and taxes on it are $1 Million a year. |
I even managed to buy lottery tickets here in Oz for the big draw, woohoo, so I am sharing it with Rick, no preoblems there, two winners is fine!!!
|
Evening y'all.
From Oz, it is 38C = 100.4 Effing degrees today, and getting hotter. But Jefferie in Alice must be cooking!!!! |
