Just because you have seen the way she dresses does not mean you have seen her house or office.

For all you know she could be one of those hoarders or maybe have a basement full of pet spiders and snakes. It's those straight lace conservative looking creative types that can be really kinky.

My friend and his wife in Austin are really conservative nice looking in public. You would never guess their house looks almost like a hoarders.

Welp, gotta go rescue my SIL. Her car won't start. Hope it just needs some battery juice, kinda busy today.

Was 40* here yesterday. Will be a low of -11 tomorrow.

Spoon show tonight. Have been pining for a Hi Power and want to hold one before I pull the trigger, so to speak.

First thing I am getting when the 911 leaves our garage is a higher end 1911.

Anyone doing anything special for the weekend?

RKDinOKC 01-15-2016 12:23 PM

Brother acurized his service 1911 and gave it to his oldest son a few years ago. Seemed a little tight to me.

Looks and soulds like they are hauling off tree limbs in the neighborhood today.

as little as possible!!!!

Jim, my wife would love to go to an RV show sometime. She is fascinated with them and always wants to rent one. We even checked out the dually 5th wheel rigs. You know those tow vehicles are expensive.

We have had several days of pretty weather. Sunshine and 50s. That ends tonight just in time for the weekend. :(

We have a PCA breakfast tomorrow, and that is about it for exciting plans from us.

A friend of mine got into RVs and really enjoyed it. He was a guy that tracked every expense to the penny. He finally got to the point that renting a nice RV was cheaper for the number of weeks and miles he was using it. He said once he retired and could use it more he would buy again.

RKDinOKC 01-15-2016 01:39 PM

Guy at work. He and his wife have a 5th wheel. His parents and wife's parents each have a 5th wheel. As soon as each of his two daughters were solvent enough married they got them too. They all go to the same places and stay in their own 5th wheels. The whole family is a bunch of 5th wheelers.

They also go to Disney World and on Disney Cruises a LOT.

porsche4life 01-15-2016 01:56 PM

Biggest RV of get is about a 30' airstream. Much smaller and the bathroom facilities suck! I don't get the point of the monstrous 5th wheel mansions though! I go camping to be outside not in!

Airstream by far has the nicest stuff and the best build quality.

My wife and I are thinking that in a few years after retirement, we might try to buy a used class B RV, with a Diesel engine. She was initially thinking of a VW Westie, but decided that was too small. Uhh, no kidding!

For the first few years after retirement, we're going to try to get in a few international trips. After that, we'll be playing gypsies traveling by RV around North America. At least that's the plan. :D

GH85Carrera 01-15-2016 02:02 PM

It is just astonishing how MUCH it is possible to spend on the fancy motorhomes. 1.5 million will buy one super nice house and several acres around here, or a single nice motorhome with no property.

flipper35 01-15-2016 02:02 PM

My wife's grandparents have a nice old Airstream.

I know some people enjoy Disney parks but I could never figure out why. I suppose it helps if you are a people person.

Porsche-poor 01-15-2016 02:06 PM

my parents have one. its not for me.

Thuy's dad has a road trek class b. We could use it if we want, but since I can't even lay down comfortably in it, we haven't even tried! About the only class b I've liked is the sprinter based ones, but for what they go for I could buy a nice airstream trailer and used 3/4ton tow rig and have a pickup I could use all the time, plus not have to drag my house around everywhere when I travel! Drop the trailer somewhere and go sightseeing in the pickup.

RKDinOKC 01-15-2016 02:18 PM

Like friends RV with the 2 car garage in the back. Park the RV and drive either of 2 cars. I'm sure the custom built thing was really expensive though. And also sure his house and/or the new house he is building cost way more than the RV.

porsche4life 01-15-2016 02:26 PM

If I won the lotto Richard, I would have a setup like that. Would leave the house wth no cars in the back, travel around and find some cool **** and bring it home full!

flipper35 01-15-2016 02:28 PM

Sid, that is how my wife would like to travel. We had planned a trip to Yellowstone pulling a trailer to camp there in. We just haven't made it yet.
