Well, not only do I not feel well,,,

Took Pepper to get groomed and her shots ... all the morons in Oklahoma City got in front of me. All the way there and all the way home. At lights they accelerated slower than even just barely touching the accelerator on the Cayenne, and then they went 10 mph under whatever the speed limit was. Got side by side so you couldn't pass. And hit their braked if they saw anything, especially a light changing 1/2 mile away or anywhere in their field of vision. And at least 1/2 miles before a light. intersection or turn they had to slow down even more.

I was second after a light and the moron took so long to accelerate through the intersection I saw the traffic light over the middle of the intersection turn yellow!

Now besides not feeling well I feel tense, frustrated, impatient and am sure my blood pressure has gone up.

Oh yeah...and when trying to work on exchange on-line, their server keeps throwing up errors and I have to start all over one whatever task I was attempting. Developing such intense love and affection for Microsoft Office/Exchange on-line I talk dirty to it. Mostly anal refereces as in "f'ing piece of sh**"

flipper35 02-04-2016 09:37 AM

I think those servers are into S&M.

RKDinOKC 02-04-2016 09:43 AM

Wonder if it going to make any difference after whatever fiasco is solved after moving to another provider for Office365/Exchange On-line.

Sounds like you need a Dilbert program for anyone that mentions "cloud based".

That said, I think the could is great for some things. Our Prime account lets me upload all our pictures for backup for example.

RKDinOKC 02-04-2016 09:50 AM

And that is faster/bester than a backed up local server how?

flipper35 02-04-2016 10:05 AM

For the pictures it isn't but I have a local backup as well. If we had a house fire though, they are still safe and since our Prime is paid by a 3rd party it costs me nothing. So the cloud is useful to me in this case.

Now if you want to talk about applications that are time sensitive the cloud sucks. Also, in your case the cloud sucks.

RKDinOKC 02-04-2016 10:27 AM

Oh, my phone pics are on iCloud. But not my Photos Library.

I know, come up with a fireproof NAS drive for local home backups! Likely could sell a LOT of them.

RKDinOKC 02-04-2016 10:31 AM

Oh wait, there is a 3TB fireproof and waterproof external drive for $400 with cables on Amazon.

Will have to get me one and backup my server backup to it.

Currently running both a time machine hourly changed incremental backup and nightly direct copy backup. The timemachine backup lets me replace any file over an hour old back as many hourly changes as the file has had. The direct copy is if my hard drive fails is reboots from the copy and sends me an email.

That sounds like a plan. I was just going to get a big spoon safe to put the stuff in, plus the spoons.

I'd be happy with a small spoon safe. I don't have long spoons. Space for a handspoon or two and important docs and valuables is all I need...

One of the customers that will text me and ask us to fly a job is the ultimate in no nonsense no chit-chat brusque type.

He sent me a text a while back and asked us to re-fly one of his properties.

We got it flown and I sent him an email that it was ready for printing. He came in today. It was a matter of me making the print layout to fit what he wanted to see and and that right scale. After a few minutes we were at at a 90x60 print. I told him that is not a problem for us but that is a BIG ol print. He thought about it and decided to go back down to just a 40x50 print. Few office walls wall space for a 7.5 x 5 foot print. ;)

His company sent out a letter specifying that all invoices had to be pre-approved before the job is even started. It has to have a PO and go through all sorts of red tape. Of course the one exception is when he decides to order something. We get direct approval and payment within 10 days. We like his business. :D

I like those kinds of people. They know what they need and don't dicker about.

I'm going to look at an 01 Sportster hugger in a few minutes.....

flipper35 02-04-2016 02:03 PM

Have fun!

ARGH!!! Thuy's dad has been living with for 8 days now I'm not sure which one of us is going to smother him first!

The man was difficult to deal with before he started losing his mind!

RKDinOKC 02-04-2016 06:05 PM

Welp, the moron driving brigade was out en force running interference with Richard when I went to pick up Pepper. At least Pepper is all clean, smells good, and has had all her shots. And she is worn out from playing with the other dogs at the groomer's all day.

Yea, Friday.

Our local region has a charity car show every fall. We have done it since 2002 I think. We mostly just hang out, admire each other car's and raise some money for a local charity. We have given the charity almost 20 grand of the years. Anyway, the Mercedes club usually brings a few cars. They have a car show every year with the Jaguar club. They are not happy with the Jag club. The Jag club gets all serious and wants to judge the cars and do all that judging. We just want to hang out.

The Mercedes club has dealer support and a decent size club. We are meeting today at the dealership downtown to work out the details. They had never thought about a charity event and they like the idea. We are likely going to invite them to participate and work the event and invite some of the other European manufacturers to participate.
