It's a wet dog smell kind of day here.

It is just another work day here. Trying to figure out how to keep Microsoft from updating the three Win7 and one 8.1 computers we have from updating to 10 kind of day. We have 8 Win XP boxes that are safe and even two Win 2000 computers. One computer is already running Win10.

Win 10 sure needs a button that sets up as a business work station. It is painful how it assumes it is installing a on laptop that is used for social networking millennial. It need a way to kill all attempts at any games, email, messaging, news feeds, or anything that uses CPU cycles for other than running the program I load.

The camera needs to point straight down as much as possible. The camera mount has some automatic leveling and a fast gimbal but air turbulence cause challenges.
Imagine staying on a course in X Y & Z axis while flying into a crosswind with wings level as possible. Then do that for 90 miles, turn 180 and go back just one row over. Do that for 8 hours.

That is pretty much exactly as I figured it would go. I didn't say it would be exciting, just challenging. GPS makes it easier to be precise than when I was going to school for flight ops.

We didn't get all the crap weather we were supposed to get but the snow blower looked more like a slushie machine when I did the drive.

Oh nooooo, completely overslept and just woke up and it's almost noon. Sure glad I don't punch a clock!

GH85Carrera 02-03-2016 09:40 AM

Dang, now you missed breakfast!

Porsche-poor 02-03-2016 09:45 AM

the most important meal! I vote steak and eggs for lunch.

Glen I saw a thread or a post about the 2017 Parade being in Yakima. You going to drive all the way out here?

Going to try some new Tuna Salad they have to sandwich for lunch...It's Jalapeno!

The Homeland grocery store I shop at is changing it's name to Sav-On. They aren't getting rid of the baggers and their discounts. Checker told me it was a headquarters decision, they haven't been making any profit since the streets have under construction for the last few months. Hope they don't get rid of any of the brands and foods I buy.

Used to shop and an Albertsons because it had the best selection, but they closed it.

Seems like all the good stuff gets taken off the market because all the cheap basters keep buying just the crap.

That is the plan. This year I can knock off all the New England states on my list of states to drive my Porsche. Next year I will go a little (lot) out of the way and go up into Wisconsin. Then figure out how to hit the other states on the list. I never drove my Porsche in Washington and Oregon so those can get knocked off the list. That will get all 48 states.

Bummer, my 401K just got a HUGE pay cut. Because the oil industry is sucking so bad they changed the employer matching for our 401K contributions. Went from matching up to 6% 100% to only matching up to 2% 50%. That is just HUGE!

We've lost enough employees in our assembly department from the buyout and attrition that hey have started working overtime again. That sucks, overtime increases manufacturing cost significantly.

We are doing what are called mini-game. The pick an area and come up with a fun theme with prizes to focus on it to try to reduce costs. I have to come up with a mini game to reduce the amount paper printed. Think our total costs are a penny for a black and white and three cents for color.

RKDinOKC 02-03-2016 10:47 AM

When I had my 914 I once planned a road trip that would drive the perimeter of the 48 states. Never got enough time off saved up to make the trip.

Liked the Jalapeņo tuna salad melt. Had the jalapeņo flavor and wasn't hot at all.

Porsche-poor 02-03-2016 10:52 AM

well I will have to see about catching up with you while you are out here then.

GH85Carrera 02-03-2016 11:06 AM

Sounds good. I plan to stop and see Pete in Vermont this year. Hopefully our schedule can match up with Seahawk and maybe even Rick. I think Jim runs away before I get up there.

When you get up this way stop by. I couldn't tell you which of the local breweries have good beer but I can get you a nice side of beef.
