Last day of school today. Both kids got an award for perfect attendance and my daughter got a certificate for being on the honor roll for 3 marking periods.

My wife even showed up for the ceremony although she told me not to expect her.

I've noticed a slight vibration in the truck recently that I could feel through the seat.

Turns out the center support bearing crapped out again. I replaced it a couple of years ago. I know the Cayenne has this issue but mine will be much cheaper. Had the guy across the street help disassemble the 2 piece drive shaft as I just couldn't get the u-joint out.

I'll get the parts tomorrow and have him use his shop press to install the new bearing. Total cost will just be for the parts.

Supper time. Gotta go!

Dang, our were out a couple weeks ago. I hope the school has A/C.

Glen, I love that little hot rod with the hood off in your picture.

Richard, will they let you stay on a real vacation for five weeks or would you have to take work with you?

Top-o-the mornin' to the rest of you lot.

Morning all.... Was a nice, busy day at the office yesterday, and the dentist gave me the best news! He says I don't need to have my wisdom teeth out afterall!

Porsche-poor 06-16-2016 07:25 AM

great news indeed. but then again so would sitting at home with tweeze taking good care of you for a few days.

porsche4life 06-16-2016 07:29 AM

Haha, I don't think she could get off work for several days right now, but thats a novel all its own...

I just wasn't looking forward to what wisdom teeth was going to cost! Would much rather use that money for fun stuff.

Porsche-poor 06-16-2016 07:34 AM

cost true! just don't let them go till you have to have them out.

flipper35 06-16-2016 07:52 AM

Just do it like Tom Hanks did. No cost at all!

Porsche-poor 06-16-2016 08:53 AM

what movie was that in?

RKDinOKC 06-16-2016 09:13 AM

Can take the vacation all at once, or just about any time I want because I do still take care of the important stuff while on vacation.

Can do most anything I need to do as long as I have either internet access or bars on my cell phone. My cell phone can hot spot for my laptop. And honestly most of the important stuff really doesn't take up much of my time. It's more about how quickly it's taken care of than actual time spent. And I do well at that is why the top boss really likes me working from "home." He called me just this morning to tell me that and that my working from home status would not change after the layoffs because of it.

Because of that I don't actually use any of my vacation unless I am going out-of-town. Then it is more of a notice that I will be only taking care of the high priority items until I return.

Well, they are guidelines!

Porsche-poor 06-16-2016 02:14 PM

guidelines as in a pirate movie guidelines?

RKDinOKC 06-16-2016 02:30 PM

When I went out and complained to the guy with the white hard had just standing there watching them work he whipped out a card with the path they were supposed to clear on it. It was marked off with 10 feet under the power lines, then and triangle the went out from there. I pointed to where they had cut off way farther than that and said if that is what you call 10 ft you must think you have an 18 inch dick and stormed off.
