A Great Day to Ya!

Porsche-poor 06-23-2016 11:50 AM

Talking to you from Venice. Good night.

flipper35 06-23-2016 12:30 PM

You are sounding like Jeff.

Morning all SmileWavy

Last day before retirement training, woohoo!

Jim Richards 06-23-2016 03:23 PM

All you travelers have fun! We decided to break in Lu's new car (CR-V) by driving to the Palomar Observatory. Twisty roads fitting for a Porsche. BTW, the telescope is huge!

We went to the Granite Quarry today. That sounds strange but it was interesting.

Then we went to the German style buffet and met up with Pete ans his wife. They are indeed a super nice couple.

We are partially packed. Just a few items to pack and we hit the road toward home.

Made it back from Parade.......minus one H4 and right frt. fender and a dent in the hood.
Damn deer.
Everybody is fine (except the deer who is taking a permanent nap).
He went right over the car after the impact.

Have a great drive home, Glen. SmileWavy

Oh Haha 06-23-2016 07:21 PM

I had a similar accident with the SC except that the fata$$ deer that hit me came from the driver's side and dented the inside of the fender and the headlight on the passenger's side. He took off after the hit but was nice enough to leave a tiny tuft of fur for the police to see.

Have a safe trip back home Glen.

RKDinOKC 06-23-2016 09:05 PM

Glens already did the dear tour for Parade. Don't think he enjoyed it.

Very little sleep last night, lots of work during the day, tired as hell, no sleep! This is becoming chronic...

Have a friend with insomnia problems. He went to a sleep clinic and they gave him one of those APAP breather things. It worked for about two weeks then it was back to insomnia.

GH85Carrera 06-24-2016 02:21 AM

Crap Pete, that sucks. BTDT I did not care for deer crashes. Don't wanna do it again.

The good news is you and the Mrs. are fine, the car did it's job of protecting you. The damage can be fixed, but it still sucks big time.

We are up and at em. Almost packed and hitting the road soon.

The quarry.

RKDinOKC 06-24-2016 03:07 AM

Gonna have to get me some ear plugs to keep in my ears and a clothespin for my nose while I'm sleeping so I'm not awoken by the sparrow farts.

RKDinOKC 06-24-2016 03:58 AM

Am I being set up for something?

Noticed that since the last layoff the VP over IT, not the IT Director, has really been pushing to get me involved in ALL the systems and processes IT is involved with. He is putting me in the position to know more about IT than anyone else in the company including himself and the IT Director. The VP told me the IT Director doesn't like it but he doesn't care. Even so the Director called me really late last night, 12:30pm and asked me some questions about Active Directory that he didn't know.

Oh Haha 06-24-2016 05:19 AM

Maybe you are going to be the IT Director?

RKDinOKC 06-24-2016 06:45 AM

Bet he makes more than I me as I make industry average for Exchange Administrator. Which isn't bad, but I have to assume if I am making industry average for my job title he is too.

Do think it was a boner decision to over buy Office365 licenses like he did.

Dang, that really sucks! I take it that the deer became intimate with Pete's 911?

RKDinOKC 06-24-2016 06:46 AM

Look at the silver lining Glen. You got all the stone pits removed from your windshield!
