It is supposed to be 99 degrees and over 50% humidity. The heat index is predicted to be 110 or so. I just go from air conditioned building to air conditioned car to air conditioned house.

Last night I cooked steaks on the grill. The good news is with the two ceiling fans on the back porch and the breeze it was not too bad.

The neighbors to the east of us are having a pool installed. The neighbors to the south of us are have a new deck installed. I see the construction workers packing up and going home about the time I get home. That would be some hot and sweaty work.

My wife's first trip to Wisconsin was to Airventure. It was 104* and 99% humidity that day. It sucked, but I would take that any day over El Centro's 120* and 50% humidity.

Florida is the worst place I have ever been for heat and humidity. It stays like that for weeks at a time.

Today is 73* and 93%. Should be mid 80s and down in the mid 60% for the weekend.

When we were in Savannah, GA a few years ago one day the heat index was 135 degrees. It was just hard to even breath when you opened the door to go the the car.

I have been dealing with a client that is the president of a hunting club that has a lot of members I guess. They have a lease on a huge area in Texas to hunt. He was trying to figure out how to tell me what he wanted. Once I figured that out is was download the free government imagery and mapping info and use our expensive programs to make him a print he can use. Then he decided it would be nice to have a digital copy. OK, no sweat, but the PDF file is over 150 MB. Just a tad too big to email. ;)

Now he wants me to do the magic of make a large high resolution image and make it a under 7 MB file. Yea, right. I could maybe make a Mr. Sid file but they will never be able to open it. I think my magic photo pixie dust is still on back order.

Send him a large black picture and tell him it was taken at night. Should compress down nicely.

weather.com says it's 97°F and feels like 108°F. Humaditty is 45%. Supposed to get up to 99°F today. Tomorrow it's only supposed to get up to 98°F. But there's a 20% chance of rain so the humaditty may be even higher, oh boy!

Pepper used to like to say outside a play (drag sticks around the yard) for a while after she "does her stuff." There is plenty of shade and keep a water bowl filled out the for her, but...with this heat she pretty much does her stuff then is ready to come right back in.

Porsche-poor 07-07-2016 11:37 AM

yuck!!!! I'll take 70 period.

RKDinOKC 07-07-2016 01:24 PM

Welp, it made it to 99°F, feels like 111°F.

GH85Carrera 07-07-2016 01:49 PM

I don't know why, but it makes me feel better knowing it is 84 in Jay Peak right now. Those condos we were in were real nice but had no AC at all.

I am sure it will be fairly hot next year in Spokane.

In 2014 in Monterey was the coolest temperature wise Porsche Parade I have attended. It was just strange to be at the DE at Laguna Secca in the garage and I got cold so I went and stood in the sun.

I did not have that problem at Roebling Road in GA. It was brutal HOT there. The Savannah parade was hot.

Porsche-poor 07-07-2016 01:56 PM

I guess I want to go next year I had better renew the PCA membership............

GH85Carrera 07-07-2016 02:13 PM

Yea, that is the first priority to get to attend.

Porsche-poor 07-07-2016 02:34 PM

Just a little detail. The next detail is the fact I have not even driven it this year......

RKDinOKC 07-07-2016 02:52 PM

You mean I'm not the only one that hasn't driven my Porsche in the last year?

Porsche-poor 07-07-2016 03:02 PM

If memory servers me correct I drove mine last September..................

Oh Haha 07-07-2016 03:44 PM

It's been almost a year that I sold mine. :(

Had a cool interaction on FB with a famous-ish drummer. I sent him a message asking about how he gets paid when working with other artists than his own band. He replied quickly and explained how.

Porsche-poor 07-07-2016 03:46 PM

cool. I have had that kind of interaction with the guitar player from the original Heart.

RKDinOKC 07-07-2016 04:48 PM

Friend of mine is a bass player and gets paid by the gig. Don't think he has ever been with a band that has any recording residuals though.

Oh Haha 07-07-2016 05:46 PM

Cool! I've always liked Heart. Barracuda is in my Top 10 song list.

This guy plays for a band that had a little success over the years. STYX ;)

The original drummer passed away and he was asked to join.

I'm not a huge fan of the band but his playing is incredible.

His house in TX is set up like a car guy's dream but with drums.

Jim Richards 07-07-2016 05:51 PM

STYX? Never heard of them. ;)

RKDinOKC 07-07-2016 06:11 PM

Some kind of illusion.
