There was even an article in the paper about the craze. All I read was the headline about it. Only an article about the presidential race is less interesting than the pokey whatever.

Hey we made it through Monday.

Back to scanning.

I think my customer was sandbagging. They were asking questions about the negatives we have like a total beginner. Nothing wrong with that but I looked them up on the internet and they are a large environmental impact study company in business for over 20 years. If they did not know those things they are in over their heads. I suspect they were just testing us to see if we knew our business.

Understand the Pokemon Go app ain't that free after all. It violates all kinds of privacy issues accessing the data on your phone including google apps and email.

I check my spam box to make sure it has not marked a legit email as spam fairly often. It is easy to pick out the few good ones from all the spam.

I was laughing at the spammers today. I had several offering flat tummies, eye surgery, dental implants, and laser hair removal. I don't even know why I would ever want my hair removed with a laser beam!

Then in case I had a problem with those services there was a personal injury lawyer, and auto warranties and just endless stupid stuff.

It has been a while since I have seen a spam about penis enlargement or breast enlargement.
I guess if I have to get all that spam at least it can be entertaining.

Just like Google, if the service is free, YOU are the product being sold.

No, the app is free, but once you start playing there are upgrades you can buy.

I just was having a chat with a former Autocross chairman. He came into the office here and I showed him around. He is in our parking lot splicing the new connection to the AT&T fiber optic cable for a business down the street. There are three fiber optic providers at the pole just outside of our building. AT&T just dug up the areas at two of the poles on the corners of our property once again.

He said he had no idea I worked here but he saw my El Camino and figured it HAD to be my car. It is interesting to see the connections of the fiber optic cables.

He's got a Turbo and is into the track thing now. Understand the track group is also using the training center.

We got the right kind of rain. It rained overnight and is decent today.

Found some M/T Tires and ordered them. Will have to see how they work but at least they are rated to 130mph and $1200 less than the Avons.

fFriend wants me to help him sell his Turbo. It is a rare color Viola Metallic 97 993 Turbo.
Don't know if they made a Turbo S on those or not.
A quick lookup on autotrader they are listed for from $140K to $190K.
Assume the rare color would push it to the upper end.
Understand the last of the air cooled turbos are very desirable right now.

Helped him sell in 944 Turbo...Listed it on cars.com and autotrader with a link to this page...

The 944T sold for his asking price but it took 3-4 months and I think he of course wants the turbo to sell faster.

Where do you think a good place to list a turbo for quick best dollar sale would be?

Richard--I would start right here on the 993 forum with a heads up to those guys as well as a FS ad in the classifieds. Rennlist is another but you may have to join to post there.

JT is selling a car? Wow. I know one of his cars is a 993 Turbo S.

If he needs it driven for a while to make sure it is ready to sell I will be happy to help him out.

Yep, that's the one.

Holey moley. There's a 97 Turbo S on ebay for $796K, has 8K miles.

The low for a 993 Turbo (non S) seems to be $140K.

Hey the Turbo S is SELLING for crazy money. I told him way back when he bought it I would buy it if he wanted to sell. Back when it was just a used car.

It is just priced at stupid crazy money now, unless you are selling. Then it is a very good price.

The problem I see is getting it in front of potential buyers that can afford it.
