Good morning guys.

It was strange to go to the garage and see one empty bay. Hopefully they will be done with my Elkys upholstry job by Friday.

wel'll be needing pictures, Glen.
My first car had re-upholstered seats and they were like new Porsche seats. (it was a US car)
I've seen many recovered seats that were done locally here, almost all of them look like they were covered by some cheap ass leather bag, horrible!

My seats are not leather. I am going back with the same factory velor. The new stuff is a close match to factory.

This guy is very good by reputation. One of my friends had him make some custom leather bucket seats for his Elky. They have custom stitching and look very nice. He had him put in seat heaters "while he was in there."

Evening Rick.

Down in Oklahoma we would say "Howdy all y'all" for big important groups like the regular posters on this thread.

I've had four already, too much chatting/mailing in the evening, not much sleep hence tired in the morning...

(but on the other hand, I'm getting to know an awesome girl, so the hours of sleep I miss really is no sacrifice at all)

Good morning folks.

Since I am driving my 911 this week I have been on HIGH alert for deer. I get to work before the sun comes up. The El Camino would probably cost as much to fix from a deer hit so I guess it does not matter what car I drive. The California deer I hit was in the middle of the day.

Just so you know, you don't get any extra points for hitting deer. Cats and Squirrels yes, deer no.

However, deer jerky is a lot better than cat or squirrel jerky.

The wildlife in California has taken a hit from my 911. Back in 2000 while coming down the mountain from Yosemite I hit a road runner. The deer was outside of San Louis Obispo, in 2007. I have driven my 911 in most of the states south of Nebraska east to west coast to coast. And only the California wildlife attack my car. I guess the exception is a few zillion bugs in every state.

Glen, since your car doesn't look like it has been driven, let alone struck wildlife, maybe you should have some vinyl decals made that look like a deer and a road runner and place them on the fender like WWII fighter kills.

I did that with barbed wire barbs on my R/C trainer. I hit the barbed wire fence bordering the flying field 5 times before I destroyed my trainer on the power wires off the end of the runway.

Yea, the deer hit was the ultimate bug hit.

I got all my rock chips fixed and a new windshield to boot. I prefer rock chips to deer hits however. Driving through LA traffic at 5:00 PM with a smashed windshield is not recommended as fun.
