no ticket and no points. we live far enough out that I'd still be waiting for a cop to show up.

AFAIK, it is still running. We sold it to a former coworker of my wife.

I think you are making the right decision with the Buick. Just be careful with your back when doing it.

Hmmmmmm, they do make a supercharged version of it. Granny hot rod maybe?
Yes, I'm VERY familiar with these engines, the LIM gaskets do have a leaking issue, usually last to about 60k then begin seeping. Valve cover gaskets as well, but these are very minor fixes and low dollar compared to things like the timing chains that lunched on my 540, which I helped a buddy mechanic do it for 2500 cash...

My first "fast" car was a '98 Regal GS, much better build quality than this Lucerne...that bad boy had the Eaton blown 3.8. I had it modded to run with/past C5 vettes, cruised it around on Sat nights with Hoosier-daddies on the front. What a hoot! That car surprised countless ...

Got the little bro to help out with any potential back injurious points of work.

HOW YOUR NUTS FEELIN!?

I do believe our A/C compressor in the Durango has gone kaput!

Not sure the constant shrinkage would be a good thing...

Yep, that's what you are warned about. I've worked with broken bones and other injuries that I probably should have taken time off to heal but when it comes to the many bits I'm not taking any chances.

I meant the princess from Frozen. A reference to David's post.

That would make you Prince Brent. Doesn't really have a regal tone to it. No offense, of course.

No offense taken. If I married a princess I could change my name to Reginald or something, but I would think there would be a lot of baggage with those Disney princesses.

Good afternoon.

Smoked a pork loin roast with a garlic and herb marinate I injected. Did a dry rub with salt, pepper, and red pepper. Took and hour to smoke. Was so tender was difficult to slice without falling apart. Plated up three juicy slices with smashed taters and some seasoned broccoli and carrots. Very tasty stuff.

We just picked up a pork loin roast to do. When I get some time. Need to go look at that drum set and look at a spoon safe. I am not concerned about them being stolen, I can't afford a safe that would actually be safe from a determined set of individuals, but somewhere to keep everything secure.

Nephew had a cheap gun safe built into his attic where he kept the bulk of his guns and ammo. You had to climb up into the attic, then go to the other side of the chimney. It couldn't be seen from the attic access.

He also had those gun lock holder things hidden in several places around the house where you stick your hand in, poke in a combination on the glove style buttons, and the gun releases into your hand. Like on the bottom of the night stands on either side of the master. And in cubby holes in cabinets and various closets.

My Daisy Red Ryder and shot gun are leaned in the corner of my closet. If you can find the shells or BBs either one, please let me know where they are.

My brother in law was giving a guy a hard time about a setup like that and the guy said that at least he didn't have one in the bathroom and his wife yelled over "yes you do!". Pretty bad when you don't remember where everything is.

Nephew said he liked the little cubby lock things because he and his wife could get to them really quick even though they were hidden, but his kids couldn't get at them because of the combination thing. Says much safer than a drawer or under the pillow, and much faster than having to go open a safe.
