Ok I have to ask, why is a suit called a bag of fruit? I would rather wear a bag of fruit than a suit but I can't imagine that is the connotation or meaning of your term. Enjoy the home front and don't hurt yer self.

Glad they were able to fix my iPhone, If had to replace it would have upgraded to a 7 and just ordered a card wallet case for it to replace my card wallet. Only carry 3 cards and almost no cash and always carry my iPhone. Since carry light makes sense to combine wallet and phone case and have less to keep track of.

Whooo Hooooo.

I think I the exorcism on the ghost worked. New flywheel sensors and a new head temperature sensor seems to have fixed the car. Out out damn ghost!

We walked around the harbor this morning. Saw these two characters just hanging out, hoping to have their pictures.

Yep no chickens or birds are guest in the 911. I think the damn ghost are exiled as well. The cruise works great.

After fixing the 911 for the 5th or 6th time and hopefully this time it is really fixed, I worked on the fountain in the front garden. Then I worked on the wether station outdoor sensor. I have a gizmo called a Vantage Vue. It has an outdoor sensor and a display in my home office. I had to replace the battery in the outside unit. It is solar powered but the battery lets it work at night. It is all better.

Just back from leading the fall PCA tour. Good turn out this year.

Did everyone stay with or were there laggers that refuse to go fast enough to keep up?

One the 928 tours a lot of people have walkie talkies. The leader announces a junction turn. Each car announces when they have cleared the turn. The leader goes slowly or pulls over after the turn with enough space behind for the group until the last car has cleared the turn. Also drivers are instructed to NOT make a turn until the car behind them can see them turn. If the last car gets out of radio range they phone the leader and the leader stops until caught up. It works very well.

The nice thing about the 928 group is there are no ninnies that refuse to go over the speed limit to catch up, and also once the group has started they don't pass each other either. Both of those were problems on the local PCA tours.

We lost 3 out of the 23. The last car in line had one of the four two way radios but we never heard him. He and the two cars in front of him missed a turn. No cell service so couldn't call him.
They got to the restaurant ahead of us.

The 928 guys also print maps for each driver to carry as well.
They use the higher frequency channels and side bands on the walkies for more range.
Also use the radios for announcing when it is clear to pass other cars that invariably get mixed up into the group and possible road hazzards as well.

It really helps with everyone having radios, announcing turns AND waiting to turn until the car behind you can see you are turning when you announce it.

Hey Pete, I bet it was a pretty tour with all those trees in different colors. I presume you have fixed the deer damage. I hope it came out great.

We have had some real Monterey weather. Mild breeze and mid to low 70s for the high. In the shade it is almost cool. Step into the sun and it is pleasant. No AC needed today in the garage or in the house.

We went to my hometown to put my mom's outdoor furniture away for the winter. She insisted on going to lunch at a seasonal BBQ place. I had the smoked brisket which was very good.

I wore shorts and froze my goonies off. It was about 58 but the wind off of Lake Huron made it feel more like 35.

As always, she had a list of things for me to fix for her. I swear she knows how to reset the microwave time but leaves it so I can do it for her.
