We get the loan calls all the time her at the office. I bet we get two faxes per week for unsecured loans up to 200K. I always wonder who in the world owns a business and is dumb enough to think anyone is going to loan them 200K unsecured on a legit basis.

If any business really wanted a loan, why not go to the bank you do business with in the first place. I guess the spam faxes and calls must find a few clients or they would stop calling.

We get 4 or 5 calls every day from Google or some recording saying our Google listing needs to be updated. It is fricking Google. Just google our company or the phone number they called, it is right there. That and the calls for companies that will save us a lot of money on our credit card processing fees. Yea, right.

Did a similar thing to stop the Google calls. Got to the person and cordially passed the time of day. When they started going into their spiel asked them which business listing it was for as I manage the listings for several. They hung up and haven't received any more.

It was NOT Google. The Google Map presences I manage are managed thru the Gmail account associated with the listing.

We get several calls per day where there is no one there. Just silence.

I have been getting calls from other states. I don't answer and it goes to VM. They all have been about how to improve our credit card interest rates. I did have one about a month ago that I answered. The gal explained that the warranty on our Chevy Aveo was about to expire. I gently advised her that we have never owned such a vehicle.

Porsche-poor 04-03-2017 07:43 AM

morning all. Made it into work. oh boy what fun we have been having. NOT!

GH85Carrera 04-03-2017 07:56 AM

So how is the knee?

Still there I imagine.

Porsche-poor 04-03-2017 07:59 AM

Stiff and sore. Its in a brace so I hobble about the office. I'm really tired of sitting on my butt with nothing to do.

I get the calls that my warranty is about to expire and they will let me renew it real cheap. I have answered a few of those when I am bored. I sound interested and glad I can renew it. Of course for some reason when I tell them it is a 31 year old car with 352,000 miles they just hang up the bastages.

Think they are missing a lucrative business opportunity not offering extended warranty to older vehicles. They could have the vehicles inspected by an approved mechanic and offer the warrantee based on what is found in that inspection. Like having a PPI done. Bet there are restored or well kept older vehicles in like new condition that owners would buy a warrantee for. Know there are people that buy used Porsches because of the extended warrantee from Porsche.

GH85Carrera 04-03-2017 08:45 AM

Yea, the problem is finding a mechanic that has the slightest clue on how to work on a 1980s pre OBD2 car. No place to plug a computer in to tell you what to fix. The mechanic has to have some smarts to figure it out.

I wish I could find a mechanic that was truly knowledgeable about old G body Chebbies. They have all retired long ago.

RKDinOKC 04-03-2017 08:50 AM

Could always have training to get extended warrantee inspection certification to become an approved extended warrantee inspection mechanic.

Yep, I did that just a little while ago. The driving tour on Tuesday to Schweitzer Mountain is the only tour I signed up for. The rest of the the tours will be self guided for us.

Get the box lunch at the concours if you want to go to the concours.

Porsche-poor 04-03-2017 11:44 AM

Probably not doing any of the drives. Otherwise there is not much for Connor and I to do. Might wander around Spokane instead.

GH85Carrera 04-03-2017 11:58 AM

Watching the autocross can be fun for a while. Especially the second day when the modified cars run for FTD.

Porsche-poor 04-03-2017 12:10 PM

we can always find things to watch. signed up for the lunch cruise 1. we will be going home on the 12th.

GH85Carrera 04-03-2017 12:14 PM

I would love the dinner cruise but my wife gets sea sick even thinking about going.
