Yep that beer was a dead one. There was a good one in my hand.

Crazy heyfever over here now that the monsoon season had buggered off back up north.

Work would be much less complicated if we had natural selection legislation

Noticed while watching TV yesterday that I have become prejudice. It's fairly narrowly focused though.

So you think natural selection would take people out of the workplace that can't actually do their job?
My opinion is instead of learning to do their jobs safely people now rely on the OHS or OSHA to be their nanny.

Yep, thin out the idiots.

They gave us a statistic, 90% of work place incidents can be attributed to human factors. Then ask us "what does this mean?" My reply was; People are idiots.

That stumped them for a while.

Good morning all. We survived Monday.

Chatting with my nephew and he said on a construction project they are doing at his job they had to remove the big picture window in the back of a house to get a new staircase moved into the house and built in place. He was in the back yard of the house and heard some animal moving around as looked up and saw 4 Elk. He said "THOSE THINGS ARE HUGE, THE SIZE OF A HORSE" of course he has been deer hunting and a 150 pound deer is a big one. I told him wait until you see a mature bull moose.

That slabomeat looks good Jeff!

I made my daughter and I steaks last night. Her birthday was Sunday but she had a friend stay over so we had kid friendly food.
I'm getting pretty good at making a not so expensive cut turn out juicy and tender.

My wife doesn't like steak so I grilled up some chicken for her.

It might need some welding as well.

I don't know Jeff, the door alignment looks a little off and I hear they are bugger to get back.

morning all. I made it till 2:30 then had to go home and hold the couch down.

Just flip the jeep over and drop another car on it, should flatten right out.

That'll buff right out. Looks like it could use a bit of upholstery and carpet cleaning if the doors have been left open very long.

Plumbing job done.

The "kitchen" we have is essentially a kitchen sink with a mid range cheapo faucet. About two years ago it started dripping or just not turning off unless you put the handle in just the right spot. We all learned to shift the handle around until it was off. Yesterday I rinsed out my coffee cup and there was no place to position the handle that it did not continue to run at a decent stream. If you pushed real had in one direction it would stop but as soon as you let go it started flowing.

We did some great engineering. A board with 35 pounds of weights to hold the handle down, no leak. Of course to make coffee this morning I had to go to the bathroom sink to rinse the pot. We bought a new super cheapo faucet for $35. and looked under the sink to see what was in store. No shut off valves. So shut off the water at the meter, remove old faucet and install new faucet.

Ta Da! now we can stop the water flow by just turning off the faucet normally and you don't have to know the secret handshake.

Of course the installation was a total pain in the butt.

Impressive! Now you'll have to perfect your "plumber's crack" so everyone knows you have skills.

Have been putting off my kitchen faucet. My kitchen has the double sink thing. As long as the faucet is over the right side it no leaky. When moved to the left sink it leaks whether the faucet is on or off.

Have a house water shut-off that is an outdoor faucet style knob in the wall under the kitchen sink. I try not to move, turn, or bump it or IT will start leaking.

Think I need a plumber. Can handle the sink faucet, but the shut-off is out of my job description. Highly likely would risk water damage accompanied with the use of very objectionable language with sexual innuendo if attempted DIY. A man has to know his limitations.

Duluth Trading company used to sell what they called Butt Spackling.
It was their long tailed t-shirt sold in a bucket like spackling is sold in.
