Hey, anyone know if there is an easy way to get the juice from grapes with seeds in them? Is there a mechanical juicer that will squash it all out?

Don't the Whinery's use a grape press. Some of them put the grapes in a barrel and stomp a round on them bare feeted.

Yikes. Heard a noise, turned my head just in time to see a bird fly into my bedroom/office. Then Pepper went off and the chase was on. After a couple of laps the bird went back out the door it came in. Had left the back door ajar for Pepper about 30 minute ago when let her out to do her stuff. That'll sure wake ya up!

Yeah, trying to avoid the kids barefoot in a bucket stomping grapes to make juice. I think it would be fermented before they finished.

I have seen and used cider presses and had a juicer that came with a microwave that was awesome for apples, pineapple and basically anything that didn't have seeds because it used a mini grinder type wheel and small screen.

You suppose Pepper lured the bird in for a chase?

Pepper probably did. She was lying behind my office chair like she was asleep when the bird flew into the room. Could have been an elaborate scheme to get another rib bone. Brought some home for her from lunch today. Not sure what the bird got out of it though.

Actually, Pepper went with me to pick up a BBQ sammuch at Earl's Rib Palace. Picked up at their drive thru window. Pepper always hangs out the back window all excited and wiggly and says "Hello" to the people that come to the window. Which is usually several of the wait and kitchen staff at Earl's. Pepper really turns on the puppy charm. 3 of them each gave her a dog treat today, Then one of the cooks came back with a to go container of rib ends for her. She made out like a bandit. Can't image why she likes going for a ride and gets so excited at the drive thru's.

My new tag finally arrived. It even has a May expiration date. So it is good for the next 12.5 months.

Yesterday after I ate dinner I "got" to go move two of the sprinkler heads. The arrows show where they were. Now they are back out to the grass.

It is the area on the far right of the second photo. The big trees in the back of this shot are gone. That garden is being transformed and in the next few weeks will have a lot of new plants along with the new garden. I will be digging a lot more holes. And that 2 tons of rock in the driveway has to be transformed into a wall.

I think my wife watches too much TV and sees how easy the pros make it look on TV. Kinda like the TV shows that rebuild the entire car in one week.

Fcukme I'm dying here.

I've had to come down to Adelaide for me Angie O'gram. Camped here at Royal Adelaide in a room full of fossils.

Old mate across from me is cutting wood like a steam engine - someone better find me a cpap machine before i bloody snuff him with his pillow.

Old mate beside me can't stop ripping out his lunch, dinner, and all of lasts weeks gut rotting food. Someone needs to bury the bugger, he's well and truly done.

Old mate-ete in the corner making whimpering sounds, trapped between the two old mates.

And here i am suffering along with the whimpering old stick, knowing the missus's is snuggled up in a king sized bed a few boocks away in the Hilton

Just think of what the nurses have to put up with on a day to day basis for years on end.

Are you in a hospital room with all those folks? It does not sound like fun. Good luck!

But Glen, they nurses don't have to live with those all day long. In and out and done. Jeff has the pleasure of their company 24/7.

Richard, my wife used to take our first lab on late night runs to the drive through but she always rode in the front passenger seat. Her favorite was Ye Olde Hamburger Stand and the Jalapeño poppers there but was happy to go anywhere for a burger, sans pickles.

Oh man, I would think semi-private rooms or hospital wards would kinda suck unless you were the bad neighbor. Of the four times I've been hospitalized I always got a private room. Maybe you could ask for ear plugs or ear buds for your phone/iPod?

Yea, when I had my hip replaced I was in a very nice private room. It was the size of a nice motel room. The hospital was new and there were only 5 patients on the entire floor. There was one nurse per patient even at night. It was real quiet except for the nurses coming in every 15 minutes to poke, prod or waking me up to give me a sleeping pill. They would come in at 3:30 AM and wake me up just to weigh me. WTF, I am there all day, and they have to know my weight at 3:30 AM?

Back in the 1960s my brother spent 6 months in the hospital with an infection in his spine. It was at Trippler Army Hospital in Hawaii. He was in a large ward. I bet there were 20 guys in the room. The only privacy was a curtain the nurses could pull shut around the bed. He would get to feeling sorry for himself and then see the soldiers coming in from Vietnam. Some of them were in rough shape.

When the aircraft carrier the Enterprise had the big fire in 1969 they were bring in burned and injured sailors in by the dozens.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Enterprise_fire

He saw stuff that made him not feel too sorry for himself.

What we are forgetting here is that they have to put up with Jeff too!

Hehe.

It's an old hospital (but a worlds best). They have private rooms but have a policy to keep all their heart patients getting Angie O'grams together. I guess it makes it easier for monitoring us.

I had to feel for Old Mate-ette, she was a little distressed about being stuck in a room with three blokes.

It made her feel better when the missus arrived a few hours after me.

Nurses look better today.

Got some good results today. Almost smashed the stress test, with a minor chest ache (couldn't really call it a pain but they wanted to know about it) at the end. So they pushed me in at the end of the days list for the angiogram (was told this morning just before lunch that I could stop fasting as I wasn't being done till Monday). Smashed that test too. No damage to my ticker, and normal circulation.

Now they are changing my BP meds to manage both AFib (what I presented with at E-D on Monday) and my now new lower BP (as a result of the last 6-12 months of lifestyle changes). Kidney function is also now good again.

They (the docs) are talking about me getting discharged tomorrow.

A big fat WOOHOO for me.

Good Friday morning. It is raining here and we are happy. Over an inch in the last few hours. Traffic coming in today was backwards. Normally the first half of the commute has little if any traffic. The last two miles is an interstate and the last 1/2 mile is the area right before a major construction project rebuilding 1-235 & I-44 intersection. When it is raining it often is a total fudge cluster. Today the traffic around the house was busy (well 8 or 10 cars) and the interstate was almost wide open.

I came home from work yesterday and there was a large box on my front porch. Come to find out my wife bought two trees by mail order.

I did not know it was possible to ship two trees in a box. Apparently one is for our yard and one is for one of her friends. I am not sure where in the yard it will go put no doubt I will be digging a hole.
